Don't rely on Viator-arranged transportation to and from Sky Lagoon

The transportation that was provided was not clear on the stops and the times. Part of this was the festival in Reykjavik that altered bus routes. But the bus driver from the main terminal to the lagoon (Reykjavik Exploration) told us every 30 minutes for pickup. He was wrong. It was every hr. After standing in cold rain for 35 minutes as we could not enter back into the Sky lagoon (which was quite nice), we ended up paying for a taxi (6450 ISK/$54USD) rather than wait another 30 minutes. Ridiculous since we had already pad for transporetation. There were 8 of us from 3 separate groups who had been told the same 30 minute pickup. The SKy Lagoon with ritual was quite nice. Just book it directly and arrange your own transportation.

Response from the operator: Dear Joy, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re very sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating it must have been to wait in the cold and rain after your visit to Sky Lagoon. We sincerely apologise for the confusion regarding the return transfer. Due to the Reykjavík Culture Night festival, several bus routes and schedules were temporarily affected, which unfortunately added complexity to our operations. We’re especially sorry if incorrect information about the pickup frequency was communicated, and we understand why this led to frustration and additional taxi expenses. We truly appreciate you bringing this to our attention, as it allows us to review the information provided to our guests and ensure clearer communication in the future. We’re pleased to hear that you enjoyed your time at Sky Lagoon, and we hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a smoother experience on your next visit to Iceland. Warm regards, Rute

    Awesome experience

Awesome experience! Highly recommend-better than Blue Lagoon which is *not* natural (effluent from geothermal plant)

    Terrible service

Terrible service. They didn’t pick us up, wouldn’t cover the taxi we had to pay for, and ignored the photos and videos proving we were there. They left us stranded and then acted like it was our problem. Never again.

Response from the operator: Hello Darrell, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're very sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced with your pickup and understand how frustrating it must have been to arrange and pay for alternative transportation after expecting to be collected. We take your comments seriously and would like to establish exactly what happened. We kindly ask you to contact our Customer Service team with your booking reference and scheduled pickup details so that we can identify the relevant vehicle and review the pickup with our Operations team. We're also sorry to hear that you felt your concerns were not properly addressed when you contacted us. We would appreciate the opportunity to review the circumstances thoroughly. Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. Kind regards, Inga

    Do Not Book

What a disappointment! This was to be the highlight of our trip to Iceland. We were at the designated pickup location prior to 5:30. Transportation never showed. Viator said we could pay for our own transportation to the Sky Lagoon. We have used Viator successfully all over the world for many years. Do not book this. Viator plans to keep our $400.

Response from the operator: Dear Traveler, We’re very sorry to hear about this disappointing experience. We understand how frustrating it must have been to miss an experience you had been looking forward to. Please accept our apologies. Best Regards, Gabriele

What a fabulous Icelandic spa experience.

What an amazing experience! The seven steps were so delightful. And time spent relaxing and enjoying the warm pool made this an excellent day.

Response from the operator: Hello, Thank you for your wonderful feedback! 💙 We’re delighted to hear you had such an amazing experience at Sky Lagoon and enjoyed the 7-Step Ritual. ✨ It’s fantastic to know you had a relaxing time in the warm lagoon and that it made for such an excellent day! We hope to welcome you again for another relaxing Icelandic experience! Best regards, Dragana

Sky Lagoon Ticket with 7-Step Ritual and Transfers from Reykjavik: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Reykjavik.

How much does Sky Lagoon Ticket with 7-Step Ritual and Transfers from Reykjavik cost?

    +

Prices start at $149 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Reykjavik usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Sky Lagoon Ticket with 7-Step Ritual and Transfers from Reykjavik take?

    +

Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Reykjavik is not rushed.

Is Sky Lagoon Ticket with 7-Step Ritual and Transfers from Reykjavik worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 81 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 1,095 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Reykjavik, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Sky Lagoon Ticket with 7-Step Ritual and Transfers from Reykjavik?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Sky Lagoon Ticket with 7-Step Ritual and Transfers from Reykjavik suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Sky Lagoon Ticket with 7-Step Ritual and Transfers from Reykjavik?

    +

Around 383 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Reykjavik can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Reykjavik and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Sky Lagoon Ticket with 7-Step Ritual and Transfers from Reykjavik start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Reykjavik within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Reykjavik?

    +

On Outty we rank every Reykjavik experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Reykjavik Food Walk - Local Foodie Adventure in Iceland, Small-Group Golden Circle, Blue Lagoon with Ticket & Kerid Crater, Reykjavík Small group Walking Tour - by CityWalk. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Reykjavik?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Reykjavik?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
