Great Tour Guide - Horrible Tour in General
Non-Catholic Christian here. Our tour guide was very good. She was very knowledgeable about the Vatican Art and the Vatican in general. Nothing negative to say about the tour guide or the operator. However, the Vatican tour, in general, is horrible. The amount of people they push through the Vatican Museums excessive and unpleasant. One pays a lot of money for these “skip-the-line tours” only to be pushed through the tour like being part of cattle herd. And believe me, you are not going to skip any line with this tour or any other tour. Think about it. There are countless tour operators; there is going to be a line that you are not skipping. You can see a lot better art for a lot less money in a more relaxing atmosphere in any of the numerous museums across Italy. Absolutely nothing special about the Vatican museums considering the torture that is the tour itself. The tour ends with everyone being pushed into the Sistine Chappel that is already over-crowded and with security trying to push everyone out through a single narrow passageway as an exit. My group couldn’t get out of there quickly enough to salvage our sanity. An absolute miserable experience and a waste of our time and money. If you are not Catholic and don’t share a special connection to the Vatican, this Tour by any operator at any cost, simply isn’t worth it. Spend your money on something more meaningful.

Amazingly informative tour! We were given ample time in the Sistine chapel and the basilica. Truly worth every penny to skip the line into the basilica. The line outside to get into the basilica was unbelievable long. The price of the tour was worth every penny!

Mislead and overchsrged for the promises made.
The notion of “skip the lines” is very misleading. We had lines and more lines throughout the excursion. I paid a premium price for this excursion, and although the guide was good and the venue was unforgettable, I didn’t feel like the promises madd were kept.
