Tour of Pompeii and lunch/wine tasting with Mt. Vesuvius view.
Sabrina was a very good guide. The tour of Pompeii and the winery was very good as well We did have several delays during the day waiting for other tour groups to join up with us. Our understanding of a “VIP, small group” tour was that it would be a dedicated group and not mixing and matching other tour groups with us.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your review, we truly appreciate your feedback. I’m really glad to hear that you enjoyed the tour of Pompeii and the winery, and that Sabrina made a great impression — she is indeed a very knowledgeable and passionate guide. Regarding your note about the guide, I’d like to clarify that the guided tour in Pompeii was private and dedicated only to your group. I’m sorry to hear about the delays you experienced during the day. This is certainly not the standard we aim to provide, especially for what is intended to be a VIP small-group experience. Your feedback is very important and will help us improve the overall flow and coordination of the day. Thank you again for choosing us, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future.

Beautiful Pompeii and disappointing Vesuvius visit
The day started well; driver told us that the other couple would not join us so it was a private drive. He was so personable. I told him that I might not go up the Vesuvius as I am afraid of heights and I chickened" up. I said I would wait for my husband in the car. He said no to worry as he would show us a beautiful view. Dropped us off to have our tour in Pompeii. That was great! the tour guide was very knowledgeable and our group was fun. We even told the coordinator that I might not go all the way up to the Vesuvius but will wait for my husband. After lunch, the driver was took us to the Vesuvius. En route, we stopped at a viewpoint. Mu husband and I were wondering why we spent so much time there. We turned back to Naples and I asked the driver about the Vesuvius and he start mumbling and we hear that we didn't have tickets?! I didn't want to argue with him; after all we didn't know this guy. He drove back thru the dirty part of the city, explaining the it was a faster way than the highway... Why would we pay that much to see the city of Naples on our way to the Vesuvius. We were disgusted by the way he handled the 2nd part of the tour. So our 3 stars are for Pompeii and the tour guide. Thank you to her.

Great tour, wonderful memories
Fantastic experience, we learned a lot! The hotel pickup with Alessandro was slick, the Pompeii tour well organised - we could have easily stayed another hour or so and wandered around ourselves after the organised tour (maybe that could be an option in future tours). The lunch was typical tourist fare, but did the job for my son and I before we headed up to Vesuvius with our driver, Marcelo. Such an amazing view at the top- it’s a moderate walk up the volcano and we saw some steaming in the caldera, which was special. The day was clear, so we had a magical view out over the Bay of Naples to Sorrento and Capri. Full marks for this tour - but if you’re taking kids or tweens invest in one of the overlay books before you come that show the ruins as they were in Roman times vs how they are now so the kids can see and be amused. Full marks, I’d do this tour again happily!
Response from the operator: Thank you for your fantastic review! We're thrilled you had such a memorable experience Looking forward to welcoming you again!

Nice day
Pompei was fascinating, views from Mt Vesuvius were spectacular. Tour guide Chris and driver Sara were lovely and professional. Of note, it gets very hot in July, would recommend a cooler month. Walk to top of Vesuvius is hot and dry in July but worth it.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind review! We're thrilled you enjoyed Pompeii and the views from Mt. Vesuvius. Chris and Sara appreciate your praise. We agree, visiting in a cooler month can make the experience even more enjoyable.

Why this scores 57
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Skip-The-Line Tickets VIP Small Group Tour To Pompei and Vesuvius: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Naples.
How much does Skip-The-Line Tickets VIP Small Group Tour To Pompei and Vesuvius cost?
+
Prices start at $270 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Naples usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Skip-The-Line Tickets VIP Small Group Tour To Pompei and Vesuvius take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Naples is not rushed.
Is Skip-The-Line Tickets VIP Small Group Tour To Pompei and Vesuvius worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Naples, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Skip-The-Line Tickets VIP Small Group Tour To Pompei and Vesuvius?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Skip-The-Line Tickets VIP Small Group Tour To Pompei and Vesuvius suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Skip-The-Line Tickets VIP Small Group Tour To Pompei and Vesuvius?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Naples can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Naples and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Skip-The-Line Tickets VIP Small Group Tour To Pompei and Vesuvius start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Naples within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Naples?
+
On Outty we rank every Naples experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Private Amalfi Coast Tour from Sorrento/Naples/Salerno, Caserta Royal Palace & Gardens Small Group Tour with Shuttle, Naples Pizza and Tiramisu Cooking Class. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Naples?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Naples?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
