What you'll see and do
Duomo Di Milano
Join us on this child-friendly tour of the Doumo in Milan for a wonderful 1.5-hours which will take you from floor level to the lofty heights of the Cathedral's roof. Milan's splendid Duomo Cathedral is one of the largest in the world after St. Peter's Basilica in Rome and the Siviglia Cathedral in Seville. The tour starts at the entrance to the Duomo where the children will be fascinated by the magnificent central doorway which is carved with beautiful Gothic floral reliefs.
Pass by without stopping
Duomo Di Milano
It is almost impossible to adequately describe the inside of the Basilica, it has to be seen! Forty columns divide the internal space into five naves and light shines in from the fifty-five stained glass windows that were started in the 4th century but not completed until the 20th century. This Gothic cathedral has everything; rare marble, "stories" painted on the colourful stained glass windows and the children will love to "spot the ugliest gargoyle"! There is so much to keep the children enthralled that 2-hours will pass very quickly in a perfect mix of education and fun.

Terrazze del Duomo
There is a lift to take you to the Duomo Terraces. As you walk the rooftop you can see the remarkable inter-twining of arches, flying buttresses (where rainwater is hidden), towering pinnacles and magnificent statues. At 4.16 metres high the golden statue of the Madonnina is the enduring Symbol of Milan; she looks over and protects the city. Take a little time to sit and enjoy Milan's skyline. From the Duomo rooftop you get the best view in the city of the ancient Duomo Square and Galleria which sit side by side in perfect harmony with the city's more modern skyscrapers.

Excellent guided tour with family
Anna is an excellent and very knowledgable guide. She is very nice with kids. We enjoyed the tour, which is great - the cathedral is amazing.

Spectacular views
Beautiful scenery, nice hiking areas, very safe, we did not see whales, but this is supposed to be the place to see them. You have to pay $10 to enter the park but worth every penny! Best things to do on San Juan Island.

Would not recommend to families
We paid premium for this tour which was not a family friendly tour. Tour guide was nice but tour wasn’t aimed at kids or families. Our kids ranged in ages 9-15. We also couldn’t hear the tour guide who didn’t provide us with microphone. Would not recommend to another family. They also changed the time of our tour at the last minute which messed up our plans in Milan.

I was delighted to know about a family-friendly tour to the Duomo.
We met our tour guide, Katia, who was extremely friendly. She greeted my daughter with small gifts that excited her through the tour. The Duomo is extremely interesting and there are so many details but Katia managed to show us all highlights. Part of the tour is to visit the roof, which I highly recommend. On the roof, Katia gave us a lot of interesting information about Milan too.

Overall, the tour was very interesting and organized. And our tour guide Katia was patient, friendly and knowledgeable.

Why this scores 56
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Skip the Line: Milan Duomo and Rooftop Tour for Kids and Families: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Milan.
How much does Skip the Line: Milan Duomo and Rooftop Tour for Kids and Families cost?
+
Prices start at $39 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Milan usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Skip the Line: Milan Duomo and Rooftop Tour for Kids and Families take?
+
Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Milan is not rushed.
Is Skip the Line: Milan Duomo and Rooftop Tour for Kids and Families worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Milan, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Skip the Line: Milan Duomo and Rooftop Tour for Kids and Families?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Skip the Line: Milan Duomo and Rooftop Tour for Kids and Families suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Skip the Line: Milan Duomo and Rooftop Tour for Kids and Families?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Milan can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Milan and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Skip the Line: Milan Duomo and Rooftop Tour for Kids and Families start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Milan within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Milan?
+
On Outty we rank every Milan experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gnocchi, Pasta, Tiramisù and Wine Class, Milan: Pasta and Tiramisu Small Group Cooking Class with Wine, Milan's Hidden Gems: Unique Bike Tour (ENG, NL). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Milan?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Milan?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
