The Temple of Artemis is known as one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world. It has been built in the areas of Ephesus on a flat area which has over the centuries turned into a swamp. Temple of Domitian
Located to the south end of the Domitian Street, it is the first structure in Ephesus known to be dedicated to an emperor. It was built on a high and wide terrace set by 50x100 meters in size, on vaulted foundations. The northern size of the terrace seems to be two-stories high, reached by stairs. Baths of Varius
was built in the First Century and restored in the Fourth Century by a rich Christian lady called Scholastica. On the left of the eastern entrance, you can see her statue without head. The original structure was thought to have been three-storied but by the time the upper two stories collapsed. The baths have two entrances, one from the Curetes Street, which is the main entrance, and the other from the side street. When you enter you see first the dressing room (apodyterium) with ten cabins,then cold room (frigidarium) with its pool,and then the warm room (tepidarium) to relax, and finally the hot room (caldarium) with its developed heating system.The second floor was used for massage and scrubbe as a therapy. Ephesus has a lot of historical sites to see that is very interesting. People are very aggressive and not necessarily trust worthy at our souvenirs were stolen from our van.

Ephesus private tour for 8
Van was new, huge and air-conditioned, our guide Goksel is amazing. We chose not to do lunch and Virgin Mary house. Instead we went to Ephesus and a china making factory. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Wonderful day, do not hesitate to book this tour. Made me fall in love with Turkey and the people.
My guide Sam was the best! The communication from confirmation to meeting place and time were perfect. Sam was waiting for me and was just a wonderful guide. He was very educated on the history, patient with my questions, very considerate. I also felt his passion for his job which is most appreciated as a customer. I would definately book another tour with him and can't recommend him enough.

My guide Sam was wonderful, very worth booking this tour.
The communication for the meeting place was excellent. Sam was waiting for me. He was so knowledgeable and considerate. I truly appreciate his passion for history and position as a guide. I was so impressed with his knowledge, kindness and professionalism. I feel he took the extra step to make sure I was comfortable. He covered so many things in the time we had, it was just right.

Excellent tour, fantastic guide, thanks Sam!
Highly recommend this tour. Our guide Goksel (Sam) was excellent. Extremely knowledgeable and took us through all the sights with detailed historical information that was very interesting and we learned quite a lot about the political history and how that impacted the region. Goksel was a fantastic guide, would definitely get him for other tours in the region. Made sure we were always comfortable and he also takes great photos!
