    A tour of Sitges

Had a lovely day, firstly at sea with our skipper Tony, who looked after us so well. We then were given an interesting tour by Claudia of Sitges, learning about its history and then finishing with some lovely wine tasting.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your comment! At BDA Sailing we try to offer unique experiences that are of value to our clients! Maybe next time a Gintonic Workshop sailing at sunset?

Sarah the skipper of the boat was very knowledgeable and sociable. We loved the very informational tour of Sitges! Raphael was wonderful with the wine tasting.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your comment! At BDA Sailing we try to offer unique experiences that are of value to our clients! Maybe next time a wine & cheese tasting sailing at sunset?

    Sailing and Wine Tasting

This excursion was conducted in two parts, by two different companies and guides. Our rating of 4/5 is an average of both: 3 Stars We planned a morning sail on the Mediterranean as a relaxing end to our holiday. The guide was friendly and chatted as we sailed. We did find it odd that there wasn’t a safety briefing of any sort, not even pointing out the location of life jackets. The boat was under power, not under sail at all, so that was a bit disappointing, too. It wasn’t a weather issue because we saw plenty of other boats using their sails. 5 stars Winery visit and city walking tour of Sitges. Our guide provided wonderful commentary during the walking tour. We felt like we really learned a lot about the city history and the history of wineries in the region. We also loved hearing about the winery’s relationship with “the hospital” and its philanthropic mission. The wine tasting was well done and we even bought a few bottles.

A Scam / Do not book this tour / Do something else

Total Scam Beware! Took our $300 Euros with no trip, no refund. Someone showed up at the dock and said it was too windy to sail! told us we could sit on the dock for 2 hours and wait for the walking portion of the tour. We replied NO. We are cancelling. The tour operator replied we are just a web site booking company. Too bad. We are keeping your money was their reply. Now I have to go thru the hassle of trying to dispute the charge with my credit card provider. No fun while on vacation.

Response from the operator: Hello, Well, actually the tour was cancelled, although the words written by the client are not correct. This booking was refunded, but it is not our company that has to do it, it is VIATOR as they are the ones who charged for the booking. Unfortunately, this review was made by a person impatient to get his money back immediately (which VIATOR did a few days later), but unfortunately the review is written, and neither the customer, nor BDA Sailing, nor VIATOR, can change it... It remains for the history of a good procedure on our part and the rigidity of a system of refunding the amount paid to VIATOR and an incredulous and impatient customer...

There are no worthy cruises in Barcelona

The boats only circle the beach , to end in horror: the visit, perfectly inept of the commercial port, among the fortress tanks of international cruises, absolutely irrelevant!

Sitges sailing, walking and winery tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Barcelona.

How much does Sitges sailing, walking and winery tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $120 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Barcelona usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Sitges sailing, walking and winery tour take?

    +

Plan for about 4.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Barcelona is not rushed.

Is Sitges sailing, walking and winery tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 51 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Barcelona, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Sitges sailing, walking and winery tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Sitges sailing, walking and winery tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Sitges sailing, walking and winery tour?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Barcelona can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Barcelona and add a light layer if any part of the 4.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Sitges sailing, walking and winery tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Barcelona within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Barcelona?

    +

Barcelona's Gaudí sites are capacity-limited and the official timed tickets go first, so most of the market is resellers with a guide attached. We weight those heavily on whether the guide is an architecture specialist. Beyond Gaudí, the tapas crawls in Gràcia and the Montserrat day trips carry the highest rankings in the city. On Outty we rank every Barcelona experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gràcia Tapas and Vermouth Crawl, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel & Cliff Jump from Barcelona, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel, Cliff Jump & lunch Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Barcelona?

    +

May, June, September and October. Sagrada Família light is best mid-morning. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Barcelona?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
