Disappointed not in English even though it was reserved in English

This was a English tour but the whole tour was done in Spanish so we were forced to do the audio guide. Very dosappointing

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re very sorry to hear that the tour language did not match your booking and that you had to rely on the audio guide instead. We understand how disappointing this must have been and appreciate you bringing it to our attention.

    False advertising - a scam

You had one job and didn’t do it. I paid for a tour in English. ALL of the tour in the palace by the guide was in Spanish. We were handed an audio guide and told we were on our own. If I had wanted to do that, we would not have booked a tour. Terrible experience and a waste of time and money.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are truly sorry that the programme did not meet your expectations. At Cityrama, we strive to maintain the highest standards and provide an excellent experience for all our guests. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your experience — your comments help us improve and deliver even better service in the future. Best Regards, Cityrama

    Very Disappointed

The office contacted me by email the day before our scheduled tour informing me that the tour start time was changed to start a half hour later. I immediately emailed back that I had another tour scheduled immediately after this tour & confirmed that we would return on time. They assured me I would be back in plenty of time. We got to the office early & 15 mins after the tour start time they still didn’t have a tour operator there but told me someone would arrive soon. A half hour later someone finally showed up. We found out from the replacement that the original English speaking guide called in sick. The company then combined our English speaking group with the Spanish & French speaking groups. The poor replacement had to translate in all three languages to the three groups they combined. All of us were subject to repetitive explanations, on the drive as well as at the palace, in 3 different languages. She kept apologizing for her lack of proper English (to her credit she did a decent job under the circumstances). However, it was awful waiting for her to keep repeating the same thing in 3 different languages. We all only got to see part of what we should have seen because of this. Not to mention all that noise & confusion gave us all splitting headaches. We saw people walking thru the palace themselves with audio headsets, like in a museum, with numbered exhibits. We asked at the front desk & was informed that there were audio guides available in every language but it would cost an additional $1000frn/person & was not included in our ticket. Since we paid $65/person & the tour was more than half done, we decided it was not worth it at that point to pay any more money. Why didn’t Viator offer us the head sets instead of making all of us suffer thru a timely & tedious triple presentation of each room!! IT WAS AWFUL!! We got nothing out of that experience! If you want to visit the palace I would recommend that you take a uber to the Palace & rent the headset. Sadly I was really looking forward to going to the Sisi Palace. We were on a Viking cruise that was supposed to take us there but the Palace was closed the day our boat was in port. I am sure the tour with Viking would have been 100% better since they do everything first class.

Sisi's Godollo Palace Tour from Budapest: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Budapest.

How much does Sisi's Godollo Palace Tour from Budapest cost?

    +

Prices start at $59 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Budapest usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Sisi's Godollo Palace Tour from Budapest take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Budapest is not rushed.

Is Sisi's Godollo Palace Tour from Budapest worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.1/5 across 60 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Budapest, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Sisi's Godollo Palace Tour from Budapest?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Sisi's Godollo Palace Tour from Budapest suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Sisi's Godollo Palace Tour from Budapest?

    +

Around 21 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Budapest can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Budapest and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Sisi's Godollo Palace Tour from Budapest start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Budapest within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Budapest?

    +

On Outty we rank every Budapest experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Budapest City Landmarks Walking Tour in 2 Hours, Countryside Half-day Gastro-Wine Tour from Budapest Meal & pickup, Budapest free walking tour: Parliament and Shoes Memorial. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Budapest?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Budapest?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
