Sisi Dinner, Living History offers an unparalleled overall experience that goes far beyond classic dinner events. They become part of the imperial court, receive titles of nobility and accompany “Sisi” through four temporally staggered acts of her eventful life, accompanied by live acting, faithful costumes and historical projections. Monika Mosser has created a violet sparkling wine especially for this evening, which with its flowery aroma and gentle perlage immediately transports you into the world of the Empress. The highlight is an exclusive 3-course meal with hearty spicy steak or vegetarian porcini ravioli, served in style in the magnificent banquet hall of the over 400-year-old Hotel Stefanie. Accompanying music and sung contemporary testimonies bring the historical scenes to life and give you intimate insights into Sisi's secret poetic diary.

An experience that will be remembered.

We were in Vienna on September 27, 2025 and attended the Sisi Dinner at Hotel Stefanie – an all-round successful and highly recommended experience. The evening was both culinary and historically a great pleasure. The theatrical depiction of Empress Elisabeth's life, combined with finely tuned culinary courses, is an extraordinary and unconventional idea. It is precisely this connection that makes the evening so special and wonderfully enriches a visit to Vienna. Thanks to the historical template and the loving implementation, this event stands out clearly from classic evening events and gives Vienna an additional, very charming attraction. An experience that will be remembered.

An educational and entertaining evening with good food in a beautiful atmosphere

We went to this event as a family. It was a good opportunity to dress more finely. The advance notice made us curious. I had no clear idea what to expect, but it was really nice. The actress played Sisi very sensitively, without kitsch. The menu was very good, especially the main course with real apple dough surprised us. Overall a harmonious evening in a special Mood. The interaction between courses and food is well planned and very entertaining. Our children especially liked the interactions with the audience (too much will not be revealed) in which they could participate.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Vienna.

How long does Sisi Dinner Living history take?

    +

Is Sisi Dinner Living history worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 51 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Vienna, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

    +

How far in advance should I book Sisi Dinner Living history?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Vienna can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Vienna and add a light layer if any part of the 2.8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Sisi Dinner Living history start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Vienna within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Vienna?

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Vienna?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Vienna?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
