    Inspiration by the Seaside

My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful experience at our paint and sip at Melina’s Tavern. It is truly a magical spot in Akrotiri, family owned and full to the brim with art; it’s impossible not to be inspired in such a beautiful setting. Our teacher Veronika was welcoming, kind and always there to guide us when needed. A professional artist herself, she provided sage advice to help us to bring our visions to life. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced painter, you’ll feel overjoyed and excited to create! She set up all of the supplies we needed for painting and even thoughtfully packaged our finished products so now we can travel with them without worrying they’ll be ruined. The Tavern also provided plentiful and delicious appetizers, great beer and wine. Honestly this was better than we could’ve expected & if we had more time in Santorini we would’ve loved to return again. Highly recommend this experience!! Thank you Veronika!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your beautiful words! 💙 It was such a pleasure to share this experience with you both. I'm so happy you felt inspired by our little corner of Santorini, and I hope your paintings always remind you of your time here. Wishing you safe travels, and we'd love to welcome you back anytime!

Great Value, Fantastic Experience & Wholesome.

I went to this experience with my wife, my wife has some painting talents & I have none. Veronika was a great teacher & has studied to get all of her art skills at a top university. She gave us both some knowledge about how to mix paints to make different shades of colours, she also gave us different brush strokes techniques to make different effects on our paintings & she also gave us some history/knowledge about the brickwork & structures of the property’s of Santorini. The local Greek food and wine were delicious! We got to take home our paintings, which is a special memory of our honeymoon to Santorini & this class has been a real highlight of our time here. We love that this is set in a family run restaurant where you can also book a sculpture class with the father. There is a gallery where you can purchase some of the great work the talented family have made. The view of the restaurant overlooks the ocean & is like something from a movie. I highly recommend anyone to enjoy this brilliant experience at such a great value 😎🎨🌅

Must do! One-of-a-Kind Experience in Santorini!

This class was the highlight of my trip to Santorini! Far from the typical cookie cutter paint n sips in the U.S., the class is taught by a local Santorini artist who encourages students to find their personal style and is willing to assist as little or as much as each painter would like. There was a still life set up on the table, with the option to paint that, or an image from a photography book, or something from your imagination. Beyond the wonderful instruction, the location is absolutely wonderful. Set right on the water, with views galore, the restaurant, built into the cliff by the artist's father and grandfather, is now run by all the siblings and includes a small art gallery along with the restaurant. The appetizers and wine provided were also plentiful and delicious. I can't say enough good things about this experience. Definitely a must do for a one of a kind experience!!

Sip & Paint by the Sea experience: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Santorini.

How much does Sip & Paint by the Sea experience cost?

    +

Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Santorini usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Sip & Paint by the Sea experience take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Santorini is not rushed.

Is Sip & Paint by the Sea experience worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Santorini, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Sip & Paint by the Sea experience?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Sip & Paint by the Sea experience suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Sip & Paint by the Sea experience?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Santorini can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Santorini and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Sip & Paint by the Sea experience start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Santorini within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Santorini?

    +

On Outty we rank every Santorini experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half Day Premium Catamaran Cruise in Santorini including Oia, Private Santorini Tailor Made - Choice of the Guest!, Private Classic Santorini Panorama: Visit Top Destinations. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Santorini?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Santorini?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
