Best Tour!
This tour was great if you want to explore the cities surrounding Lisbon in a very easy way. Our tour guide, Bernardo, was the absolute best! Not only did he explain everything about the cities, but he also made us feel as if we were locals ourselves! This tour gives you a ton of free time to explore on your own and I HIGHLY recommend booking it! If possible, request Bernardo as your tour guide for an even better experience!!
Response from the operator: Olá Brianna 👋🏼 Thank you so much for this great review! Making you feel like locals rather than tourists is genuinely what Let's Get Local is all about. We are so glad the mix of guided exploring and free time on your own hit the right balance for you. That's exactly the vibe we try to create - enough insight and stories to see the cities differently, but still room to wander and make it your own. Thanks again for the kind words and for recommending the tour! Hope to show you around again on your next trip to Portugal. Obrigado! Let's Get Local

Bernardo Made Our Family Trip to Portugal Unforgettable
Bernardo exceeded every expectation we had and played a huge role in making our trip unforgettable. We spent over a week in Lisbon with our family, including our two young children, and Bernardo made our trip completely stress-free from start to finish. He was much more than a driver—he was our guide, local expert, and trusted advisor throughout our stay. One of the highlights of our trip was Sintra, and Bernardo’s knowledge of the area’s history, landmarks, and hidden gems made the experience truly special. He knew exactly where to take us, where to stop for the best views, and how to avoid the crowds. He also recommended fantastic restaurants, viewpoints, a swimming pool for the kids, and many other places that we would never have found on our own. As a thoughtful surprise, he even brought us local pastries typical of the region so we could experience some authentic Portuguese specialties—one of many small gestures that showed how much he cared about making our trip special. Every day he picked us up on time in an immaculate Mercedes van, helped us with our car seats, and patiently waited while we visited attractions, shopped at El Corte Inglés, enjoyed meals, or explored at our own pace. Having two small children can make travel complicated, but Bernardo made everything easy. What impressed us most was his professionalism and ability to communicate effortlessly in Portuguese, Spanish, and English. My parents spoke with him in Spanish, he spoke Portuguese with me, and English with my husband—all perfectly and naturally. His organization, attention to detail, kindness, and patience were exceptional. If you are visiting Lisbon, Sintra, Cascais, or the surrounding areas and want a reliable, knowledgeable, and genuinely wonderful guide and driver, Bernardo is the person to call. Thank you, Bernardo, for helping make our family trip so memorable. We hope to see you again on our next visit to Portugal!
Response from the operator: Olá Karen 👋🏼 Thank you so much for this incredibly kind and detailed review - reading this is truly touching. Spending over a week with your family, including your two young children, was such a pleasure, and we are so glad we could help make the trip stress-free from start to finish. Getting to know a family well enough to switch naturally between Spanish, Portuguese, and English in the same conversation is one of our favourite parts of this work - it makes everything feel less like a tour and more like showing friends around! Sintra will always be close to our hearts, and finding those quieter viewpoints, avoiding the crowds, and sharing a proper local pastry with you along the way is exactly the kind of experience we hope every guest takes home with them. And with two small children in the mix, we know travel can get complicated fast - we are glad the car seats, the patience, and the flexibility around your own pace made things easier rather than harder. Thank you again for trusting us with such an important trip for your family, and for taking the time to share it in such detail - it means so much to know we could be part of such a special family trip. We truly hope our paths cross again the next time you're back in Portugal! Obrigado! Let´s Get Local

Beautiful Day Trip to Sinatra with Family
We had an excellent time touring Sintra and it was definitely a highlight of our trip to Lisbon. Our guide was knowledgeable and took care of the logistics ahead of time, including admissions, to ensure the day was catered to the needs of our group so we could focus on enjoying ourselves. We were able to fit in the main sights and have time in the village without ever feeling rushed. Most importantly, he was accommodating and flexible as we had 2 young children and seniors which could have otherwise made the day a challenge as there are a decent amount of uphill walking sections. The drive back took us along the beautiful coast and some picturesque viewpoints that were really worthwhile.
Response from the operator: Olá Sean 👋🏼 Thank you so much for this thoughtful review - it means a lot to know Sintra was a highlight of your trip to Lisbon. With a group spanning young children and seniors, making sure the pace and route worked for everyone was especially important, so we are really glad it came together smoothly and that the uphill sections didn't get in the way of everyone enjoying the day. Taking care of the logistics and admissions in advance is exactly the kind of thing we like to handle ahead of time, so families can just relax and take it all in. We are so glad you also enjoyed the drive back along the coast - those viewpoints never get old, no matter how many times we pass them! Thank you again for your kind words, and we hope to welcome your family back to Portugal again soon! Obrigado! Let's Get Local

Why this scores 69
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Sintra Pena Palace Cabo da Roca Cascais Full Day Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.
How much does Sintra Pena Palace Cabo da Roca Cascais Full Day Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $90 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Sintra Pena Palace Cabo da Roca Cascais Full Day Tour take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.
Is Sintra Pena Palace Cabo da Roca Cascais Full Day Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Sintra Pena Palace Cabo da Roca Cascais Full Day Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Sintra Pena Palace Cabo da Roca Cascais Full Day Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Sintra Pena Palace Cabo da Roca Cascais Full Day Tour?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Sintra Pena Palace Cabo da Roca Cascais Full Day Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lisbon?
+
On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lisbon?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lisbon?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
