About this experience
Dieng Volcanic Complex (also called the Dieng Plateau) is a complex volcano. A complex volcano is an extensive assemblage of spatially, temporally, and genetically related major and minor volcanic centers with the associated lava flows and pyroclastic rocks. The name "Dieng" means "abode of the gods." There the visitor can find restarted temples build around year 800, colorful lakes and steaming ones. On the road we will see how the farmer use all the land available by using terraces. It's also fresher up here and we are almost above the clouds. The plateau, located 2,093 meters above sea level, offers two sunrises, the golden sunrise and the silver sunrise. Both are equally amazing natural phenomena. The golden sunrise refers to the first sunrise between 5:30 and 6 a.m. It is said to be golden because of its sparkling golden red color. We can enjoy this sunrise from a viewing post at a height of 1,700 meters above sea level in Wonosobo.

Easy and no-frills trip, great for couple photos, but a lot of travelling on the road!
Was in touch with Rika on whatsapp and she was very patient and accomodating during our exchanges prior to our trip. We had to make last minute changes but Rika managed to accomodate according to our plans. We were allowed to make full payment when we reached indo. We finally settled on the sikunir package and managed to also secure a sunrise at puthuk setumbu and jomblang cave exploration and river tubing activity all over 3 days. The trip was also made possible with our very friendly and helpful driver/guide Toddy and Danny who attended to all our requests without hesitation! Overall the experience was wonderful even though it rained quite a bit but the sunrise views were great. We got really some nice shots in the cave and at the vantage points overlooking lake Warna. A pity Borobudur was not on our itinerary. Won't be difficult to get souvenirs bcos every vendor is selling the same things. From the local delicacies like nasi gudeg / carica to the friendly locals at each stop, both my wife and I had a wholesome time here in Yogyarkarta!
Response from the operator: Dear Samuel, Thank you so much for spending your valueable time to leave a review. We are very delightful knowing you had a memorable time and happy with our services. Stay healthy and hope to see you again in the future. Kind regards, Rika TripTrik Travel

Is Sikunir Sunrise & Dieng Plateau Start Yogyakarta worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 49 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 1 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Yogyakarta, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Is Sikunir Sunrise & Dieng Plateau Start Yogyakarta suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 15-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Sikunir Sunrise & Dieng Plateau Start Yogyakarta?
+
Around 0 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Yogyakarta can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Yogyakarta and add a light layer if any part of the 15-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

+

What are the best things to do in Yogyakarta?
+
On Outty we rank every Yogyakarta experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Yogyakarta Private Car Hire with Driver, From Surabaya / Malang : Mt Bromo Sunrise - Ijen Blue Fire 2D1N, Borobudur Full Climb Up And Prambanan ALL INCLUSIVE PRIVATE Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Yogyakarta?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Yogyakarta?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
