Two wonderful bespoke tours around Hobart
My wife and I booked two tours with Ross at Bespoketourshobart. We did the Signature whisky tour one day and the tour to Port Arthur the next. Ross specialises in very small groups, no more than six people but we lucked out and were the only two on both tours. We had a personal guide to this wonderful region of Australia. Ross picked us up at our hotel and was very punctual. During both tours he kept to schedule without us feeling hurried. He was very sociable and during the drives from point to point, while be a very safe driver, described the history and geography of the areas we passed through. During the Whisky tour, he had pre arranged our tastings and was very well acquainted with the people at the distilleries. Our tastings were in private areas and we had fabulous tours of each place. It helps that he is also a whisky collector. We also stopped at a Cheese factory where we had a tasting. The Port Arthur tour was longer, about 8 hours as it is quite a distance from Hobart. Ross is very knowledgeable about the history and the layout of Port Arthur. We initially spent time at a model of the colony during its heyday and he pointed out where we would be going and what we would be seeing and what was no longer there. He walked us through the whole facility showing us and describing life in the very tough penal colony. The whole area is about 100 acres and only about 30% of the buildings remain. However, Ross pointed out where different activities were carried out. Again, he was extremely knowledgeable, pleasant and flexible in responding to our requests. On the return journey we visited a Gin distillery for a tasting and made brief stops at a Chocloate foundry and a lavendar farm. Overall, we had two outstanding tours with Ross. We have no hesitation in highly recomending Ross and Bespoketourshobart if you want to see the highlights of this beautiful region. We will be doing more trips with him on future visits to Hobart.

Whiskey Tour
A very pleasant day discovering the mysteries of Tasmanian whiskey! The distillers were incredibly knowledgeable and we gained some valuable insights into what whiskey is all about.

How much does Signature Whisky Tour - Hobart & SE Tasmania cost?

Is Signature Whisky Tour - Hobart & SE Tasmania worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hobart, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Is Signature Whisky Tour - Hobart & SE Tasmania suitable for kids and families?
+

How far in advance should I book Signature Whisky Tour - Hobart & SE Tasmania?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hobart can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hobart and add a light layer if any part of the 6.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hobart within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hobart?
+
On Outty we rank every Hobart experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include kunanyi/Mt Wellington Explorer Bus- Return Tour (2.5 hours), Full-Day Guided Bruny Island Tour from Hobart, All Inclusive Bruny Island Day Tour Plus Guided Lighthouse Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hobart?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hobart?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
