Never again! MTS is a total rip-off.
We booked the "Side by Night" excursion on 09/01/2026 on-site through the tour guide Ferhat at Club Dizalya in Alanya and were very disappointed. The excursion was sold to us with the following points: Pickup at 3:30 PM, visit to a waterfall, then dinner, then a boat trip, followed by free time in Side at night, and return around 9:00 PM. These exact details were decisive for our booking. This was especially important to us because my wife is pregnant and our 4-year-old son also participated. In reality, the schedule looked completely different. Shortly before the start, the pickup time was suddenly moved up to 2:00 PM. On-site, it turned out that a stay of about one hour at a jewelry store was planned, which had never been mentioned before. To us, this clearly gave the impression that the earlier pickup was only intended to accommodate an additional sales stop. Furthermore, the excursion felt more like a sales event than a leisure excursion. Even during the meal, shopping opportunities were repeatedly pointed out, and the time in Side was also heavily characterized by sales offers. That did not correspond at all to what was described to us at the time of booking. In addition, the announced return time was not met either. Instead of around 9:00 PM, we did not arrive back at the hotel until around 11:00 PM. That was particularly stressful for us because our airport transfer was already scheduled for 11:45 PM. As a result, there was practically no time left to pack in peace and leave the room properly. That caused unnecessary and avoidable stress shortly before the trip home. What was also particularly disappointing for us was how our subsequent complaint was handled. MTS Globe did not really address our complaint. Instead, it was claimed that we were lying and that it could not be the case that this information was withheld from us. We find this behavior disrespectful and in no way customer-oriented. Overall, this excursion did not correspond to the advertised service. Instead of a relaxed family excursion, we got a highly sales-oriented day with unforeseen additional stops, massive delays, and subsequently a completely unprofessional handling of our complaint. We therefore cannot recommend this excursion.

Please remove the visit to Olympia Jewellery
Unfortunately, my visit to Olympia Jewellery was disappointing. I found the consultation to be very pushy and unpleasant. Instead of addressing my wishes and questions, I felt like I was constantly being pressured to make a purchase. A relaxed and customer-oriented atmosphere was not achieved as a result. Furthermore, the interaction seemed unprofessional, as my preferences were hardly taken into account.

Room for improvement
Overall, we booked 4 tours with MTS. The offers seemed attractive and affordable. They were affordable, but probably only because the group was dragged to either a major jeweler, a large carpet dealer, or through a bazaar on every excursion. For that, at least 60 minutes were scheduled each time without travel time. The buses are great, clean, air-conditioned, and the drivers are safe and friendly. The tour guides are good as well. However, the organization of the trip often leaves much to be desired, as does the food. In Alanya, for example, the castle stay was far too short, especially since you have to pay an entrance fee to the inner part (per person 12 €). On the side tour, dinner was far too early, and it would have been nicer and probably better to eat in Side itself. Nevertheless, the country is beautiful and the people are very nice!!! You have to try it at least once.
