The May Square is located in the Porteño Downtown, neighborhood of Monserrat, in the area where the foundation of Buenos Aires took place. The Plaza de Mayo is the most important and oldest public square of the city. The name of this square commemorates the Revolution of May 25, 1810, date in which the citizens gathered around to expel the Viceroy and form a creole government. Great tour guide showed us many different sights and perspectives of Buenos Aires.
Marcelo was an excellent tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything along the tour, giving us context and a lot of local color as well. I really felt that I got to know the city well. He was also very accommodating with our comfort and made sure that we had something to eat and drink and pointed out interesting shops for each of us. I really appreciated our time with him and would recommend him to anyone. Thank you again.
