Bus from El Calafate to Puerto Natales
It would help if there was better communication at the borders. We were just waiting for the bus door to open with no idea what was going on. The bus eventually arrived two hours latet, but it was comfortable.
Response from the operator: Dear Tim, Thank you for comments. However, it is not clear what you mean with a better communication at the borders. It’s a pity that you didn’t contact us for any doubts you might have had, we’d have been glad to help you. A good tip is also checking Chile’s Official website of Border Crossing points (“pasos fronterizos”), there are plenty of recommendations for travelers. With respect to the delay in the borders, that doesn't depend on the bus company, but rather to the traffic due to high season in Patagonia. Every year in summer, there is quite an intense movement of people willing to cross the borders. We even inform of the possible delay in the description of the transfer. Kind regards, Staff All Patagonia

Long journey, but well organised without any hiccups
The bus left on time and was a very comfortable coach for the hours on the road. However, do NOT expect to arrive in Puerto Natales before about 6 hours of travelling -- as the border crossing paperwork can take an hour or more (and this was before the high-season).
Response from the operator: Dear Geoffrey, We are really happy that you could enjoy this beautiful excursion. Of course we hope that you visit us again. Kind regards, Staff All Patagonia

+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit El Calafate?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in El Calafate?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
