Nice trip, but not enough space on the boats

The trip was amazing, the only thing is that there is not enough space for the people on the boat. It was 10 of us and only 4 people can be in the shade. Others needed to be for hours and hours on the sun. Almost 2 hours one way..

Response from the operator: Ciao Maja, Thank you for your review. We truly appreciate your feedback and are sorry to hear that the boat did not meet your expectations in terms of size for a small group. We strive to provide our customers with the best experience possible, and that’s why every small detail matters to us. We were so glad to have you on board with us. Please feel free to come back anytime you like

    Enjoyed every moment!

A fantastic day on the waters of the spectacular Amalfi Coast! Our Captain Stefano and mate Pepe (Guiseppe) were both personable and knowledgeable - they took extra special care of our 80 year old Moms who accompanied us, always patient and kind. Can’t say enough about those guys! Only star adjustment I made was for the snack and beverage portion, which didn’t seem as advertised. A small thing, but important to be prepared for when going on board all day in the sun! A drink or two and a bag of chips - though perhaps we could have asked for more, the description seemed to indicate ready availability of snacks and beverages.

Response from the operator: Ciao Michelle! Thank you so much for your kind review, we are so glad that you enjoyed our boat tour to the Amalfi Coast. It has been a pleasure having you aboard! See you on your next adventure to Italy, grazie mille!

    Amazing boat experience

This was a glorious day out. The boat is plenty big enough for the 12 people and was well stocked. The guides were incredible, full of knowledge and so kind. The stops were Amalfi, Sorrento and a little grotto where we all got to jump off the boat and swim for a while. There were plenty of snacks and drinks and the boat also had a toilet. Truly a lifetime memory

Response from the operator: Ciao Jane! Thank you so much for your kind review, we are so glad that you enjoyed our boat tour to the Amalfi Coast. It has been a pleasure having you aboard! See you on your next adventure to Italy, grazie mille!

Could, and should, have been so much more.

What beautiful destinations - Almafi and Positano - and everywhere in between. Our boat driver did a fantastic job navigating the rough water en route back. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for our boat host. She is our least favorite guide/host in the 12 experiences on our trip thus far, providing minimal information about the coast, its history, and tips about the cities we visited, like where to shop, grab something to eat, etc. She offered drinks, but didn’t collect them. When the weather changed, she chose to find protection under the canopy for herself instead of picking up garbage, towels, etc flying from the deck. Disappointing.

Response from the operator: Dear Dawn, Thank you for sharing your experience with us and for your compliments on the beauty of Amalfi and Positano, as well as the skill of our captain in handling the rough waters. We are sorry to hear that your experience with our host did not meet your expectations. We assure you that we constantly strive to improve our services, and customer feedback is invaluable to us. We are committed to providing detailed and useful information during our excursions, and we apologize if this was not the case on this occasion. Regarding the management of flying objects and trash during the weather change, the safety of our guide and our guests is always our priority. However, we understand that this may have negatively impacted your experience and apologize for any inconvenience caused. We hope to have the opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to excellent service in the future and to welcome you back on board.

    Positano and Amalfi boat tour

The captain was well skilled and his assistant Laura was knowledgeable and very friendly. The scenery is stunning from the water.

Response from the operator: Hi John! Thank you for choosing us and we hope to have you back with us soon!

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sorrento.

How much does Shared boat tour to the Amalfi Coast from Sorrento cost?

    +

Prices start at $149 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sorrento usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Shared boat tour to the Amalfi Coast from Sorrento take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sorrento is not rushed.

Is Shared boat tour to the Amalfi Coast from Sorrento worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sorrento, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Shared boat tour to the Amalfi Coast from Sorrento?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Shared boat tour to the Amalfi Coast from Sorrento suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Shared boat tour to the Amalfi Coast from Sorrento?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sorrento can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sorrento and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Shared boat tour to the Amalfi Coast from Sorrento start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sorrento within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Sorrento?

    +

On Outty we rank every Sorrento experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pizza School with Wine and Limoncello Tasting in a Local Farm, Private Amalfi Coast Day Tour from Sorrento or Naples, Sorrento Farm and Food Experience including Olive Oil, Limoncello, Wine tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Sorrento?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Sorrento?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
