Guide No Show No Refund - late chg of meeting location

We were so excited to participate in this class and learn some authentic Italian recipes. Viator or the host changed the meeting location and being on vacation we did not get the info timely so the guide didn’t show and we are out $400+ because they refuse to reimburse us. Stay clear or monitor email like a hawk which isn’t any fun on vacation. Sad. 😔

Response from the operator: Dear Sandra, Thank you for your review. We’re sorry to hear about the confusion and frustration you experienced. For this experience, the correct meeting point and the host’s contact details are provided in the final confirmation message sent by Viator after booking. The location shown on Viator’s general listing page is a generic reference point and is not intended as the actual meeting location. When guests arrive at the confirmed address, the host is present as scheduled. Regarding the phone number, Cesarine hosts are reachable through the contact details shared in the booking confirmation. We did not receive any missed calls or messages from you at the time of the experience. We understand how frustrating it can be to miss a class while on vacation. We would like to clarify that all updates regarding location or timing are communicated via email, which is the official channel for our guests. It is the guest’s responsibility to ensure they have working internet access and to monitor emails prior to the experience. We always strive to provide clear instructions and timely updates, but without checking the messages, we are unable to guarantee attendance. We hope this helps clarify the situation. Kind regards,

    Our cooking experience in Venice

Our experience with Nadine in Venice wa amazing!! Our family of 7 including teens and adults asked for a very hands in experience and Nadine did not disappoint. She just volves everyone and we did everything ourselves. We learned how to make several pasta types and sauces and tiramisu for dessert. And then we all sat together and ate. It was incredible. We cannot thank Nadine enough for this experience and for welcoming us into her home! Grazie!!

Disappointed, not hands-on, not as promised

I was disappointed with Barbara's cooking class. We met our guide in the square and walked to her apartment. This was totally different from the instructions we received via email. She welcomed us in and explained we could make 3 kinds of pasta (which was advertised). She said 3 types of pasta would be too much. She finally agreed to make 2 small portions of pasta and risotto. The experience was very minimally hands-on. Our host made the pasta (we got to take turns kneading the dough) and filled the ravioli with filling. We watched from a distance while our chef prepared the risotto and sauce for the pasta. We didn't get to prepare our own sauce. It was a lot of watching and not a lot of doing. About an hour into the experience we were offered the last of a bottle of white wine that had likely been opened for a day or two. In “what is included” was advertised we would get multiple local wines: "Taste a selection of local red and white wines with your meal". For the price of the experience, my dad and I were disappointed (total of €260 for two people). Lastly, we did not receive a souvenir apron and a shopping bag which was advertised and promised.

Response from the operator: Hello, Thank you for sharing your opinion with us. It is always important to listen from our customers. We are sincely sorry to read these lines and we apologize that your experience did not meet our high standards. Our Cesarine always offer suggestions for the best performance of the event. Of course, they do not make any decisions on their own without the consent of our dear guests. Furthermore, our Cesarine follow strict HACCP regulations. Obviously they do not give any leftovers and they comply with the strictest sanitary regulations. In the experiece the wine is included, it's the host who decides the type according to he recipes. Anyway, thank you very much for your patience and for providing us with this useful feedback. Best wishes, Cesarine Team

Share Your Pasta Love in a Local’s Home in Venice: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Venice.

How much does Share Your Pasta Love in a Local’s Home in Venice cost?

    +

Prices start at $40 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Venice usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Share Your Pasta Love in a Local’s Home in Venice take?

    +

Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Venice is not rushed.

Is Share Your Pasta Love in a Local’s Home in Venice worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Venice, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Share Your Pasta Love in a Local’s Home in Venice?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Share Your Pasta Love in a Local’s Home in Venice suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Share Your Pasta Love in a Local’s Home in Venice?

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Venice can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Venice and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Share Your Pasta Love in a Local’s Home in Venice start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Venice within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Venice?

    +

On Outty we rank every Venice experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pasta and Tiramisu Cooking Class with Wine in Venice, Eating Venice Small Group Food & Drinks Tour, Venice Bacaro Food Tour: Eat and Drink like a Venetian. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Venice?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Venice?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
