    A Transcendental Experience

This review is for our touring company called “Not Just A Tourist” and it’s for our tour from Seville to Tangier. Fernando picked us up near our hotel and we made our trek to Tangier, passing many cities along the way until we arrived at the port in Tarifa. Fernando is bilingual (English and Spanish) and was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable about the area. He explained how the process would work and whom we would meet in Tangier. Once we crossed the continent and arrived in Tangier, we met with Sharif who welcomed us with open arms. Sharif was by far the best walking tour guide we've ever had. He was born and raised in Tangier and everyone e seemed to know him. He showed us parts of the city that we never would've found or gone on our own. From small and narrow alleys (bazaars) to the best local diners. Thank you Sharif for making our Moroccan experience a memorable one. And thank you Fernando for making our 2 hour scenic drive (each way) a fun, informative and pleasant one. This tour company and their staff delivered the experience we were looking for.

Our guide Guille + tapas in Alameda = an excellent tour

We took the Off The Beaten Path Tapas Tour and our guide, Guille, provided us with a fantastic evening. He did a great job of mixing history, culture, and food & drinks through the tour. He ordered his favorites and recommendations, ensuring our tastes and preferences were taken into account. Overall we couldn’t have asked for a better night full of great food, interesting area highlights, and best of all the hospitality of our host and guide. If you’re lucky enough to book a tour with Guille, you’ll have a very enjoyable experience.

Tour guide never showed up. No notification, no explanation.

The guide for this trip did not show up. We left our morning tour early to get there on time, skipping the Seville cathedral and taking a cab across town to make it in time for the tour. We were there five minutes early waited 30 minutes and no one ever showed. We made phone calls, we wrote texts and emails. Never heard anything for four hours. We got no cancellation notice. We got no explanation. We got no excuses. They just didn't show up despite our confirmation. In my business, if you don't show up for work -you get fired.

    Food, fun, great food

Wow.WOW. We turned up and unknowingly to me, and I booked, it was a personal tour. So just 2 of us and the guild. She took us to all her favourite hot spots in Seville. These restaurants were all off the beaten track and were the locals eat. The guild has lived and worked in Seville for 9 years, so knew the area very well. We tried food we would never of ordered off a menu. We like and know food but some of the tapas we tried was unreal. This was an AMAZING tour. 100% book this when you come. The guild was lovely and friendy .. a must for food lovers 😋

Seville Off the Beaten Path Tapas and Market Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Seville.

How much does Seville Off the Beaten Path Tapas and Market Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $55 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Seville usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Seville Off the Beaten Path Tapas and Market Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Seville is not rushed.

Is Seville Off the Beaten Path Tapas and Market Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 22 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Seville, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Seville Off the Beaten Path Tapas and Market Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Seville Off the Beaten Path Tapas and Market Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Seville Off the Beaten Path Tapas and Market Tour?

    +

Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Seville can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Seville and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Seville Off the Beaten Path Tapas and Market Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Seville within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Seville?

    +

On Outty we rank every Seville experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Seville Tapas Crawl Tour by Food Lover Tour, Seville: Paella & Tapas Cooking Class + Triana Market Tour, Sevilla Food Tour: Tapas, Wine, History & Traditions. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Seville?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Seville?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
