As we cruise the waters around Portland Harbor we will make stops at Portland Breakwater Light, Spring Point Light and Ram Island Ledge Light before stopping at Maine’s oldest and most iconic lighthouse, Portland Headlight. This historic beacon, with its striking architecture and stark coastal backdrop, is a sight to behold from the perspective of the Atlantic Ocean as seafarers have done for more than 200 years. After photos and information about this iconic lighthouse, we continue the ride along the rocky shores of Cape Elizabeth to Two Lights State Park, whose twin lighthouses perch atop dramatic cliffs. Our best chance for wildlife comes during the next leg of the ride as we cruise open waters to Halfway Rock Lighthouse, a true maritime relic. Standing proudly on a remote ledge in the open ocean, it has guided mariners through thick fog and turbulent waters for over a century. Seals are often found hanging on the rocks and feeding in the nutrient-rich waters.

Probably would have been a great tour had it not gotten cancelled right before time to leave port
I'm sure this would have been a great tour, had it not gotten cancelled a few hours before we were supposed to leave port. They said it was cancelled because of rough waters. We walked 3 blocks down and booked another tour, with another company, that was taking boats out all day and they informed us there were No rough waters that should cancel a day trip such as this. We only saw 4 lighthouses, but was 1/2 the price, so all in all, guess we are glad it got cancelled.

However, our tour was canceled due to the marine conditions forecasted for our specific route and vessel. Not all boats, tours, or operators are the same. Different vessels have different operating characteristics, passenger comfort levels, and safety thresholds. The fact that another company chose to operate does not mean conditions were appropriate for our tour. We take safety very seriously and never cancel lightly. In fact, cancellations impact our business significantly, so there is no benefit to us in canceling a trip. When we make that decision, it is based solely on providing the safest possible experience for our guests and crew. While we're glad you were able to find another activity and enjoy your time in Portland, we respectfully disagree with the implication that the cancellation was unnecessary. We'd much rather disappoint guests with a cancellation than place them in conditions we believe are unsafe or unsuitable for the experience we promise to provide. We appreciate your understanding and hope you'll consider joining us in the future under better conditions.

We had a great time! I totally recommend this tour to other visitors. The only way to see some of the lighthouses on this tour is by water.

Lighthouse Tour in Portland Outstanding
This was one of the highlights of our vacation. SUPER RIDE! We saw all the lighthouses. The crew were outstanding in sharing knowledge of the area. We saw lots of Harbor Seals. The ride was exhilarating and must do for this spot! We will definitely do this again on our next trip.

Was scary at first because of the speed, but captain is knowledgeable and knows what he is doing. Tour in itself was amazing.
