Walk in Serra de Arga and Ponte de Lima

We had a great time during our day trip to Serra de Arga and Ponte de Lima. The landscape is very beautiful and we were walking past several lagoons at the end stopping to have a refreshing dive into one of them. Our guide Agostinho was very attentive and friendly, we had a great time chatting about Portugal’s nature, history and customs. In the afternoon, after a delicious picnic in a beautiful spot, Agostinho took us to a charming little town called Ponte de Lima where we could admire the town’s architecture and learn about its history. I highly recommend booking with Agostinho!

Response from the operator: Thank you Ula for your wonderful review! Nice to see that you enjoyed our tailor made tour that put together the discovery of Serra de Arga and Ponte de Lima in the same day. For us is a pleasure to share Portugal´s nature history and local customs with all our clients! Looking forward to see you again! Kind regards, Agostinho

swim in the lagoons and under the waterfalls

Short and light hike through the forest. Great swims in the lagoons and under the waterfalls. Our guide (Agostinho) had a lot of knowledge about the environment and his English was very good. The picnic at the end was in a beautiful spot with only local fruits, jams, sausages and bread. I definitely recommend it!

Response from the operator: Dear Jens, Thank you very much for your wonderful feeback! It is great to heard that everyone have had a good time during our 7 lagoon tour. Looking forward to see you again in North of Portugal. All the best, Agostinho

An amazing and unforgettable guided walk and picnic

Our group of 5 and 3 dogs had an amazing time. Even our teenage daughters loved it. It was the highlight of their holiday they said. Beautiful scenery and interesting guides and delicious traditional Portuguese picnic all locally sourced and severed with the local wines. I would recommend this walk to anyone. I will return at some points to try more of different experiences offered as the organisations, communications and explanations were so good.

Response from the operator: We are happy to hear that you and your teenage daughters love our hiking tour and our picnic! Next time you can come to explore the Gerês National Park. Kind regards, Agostinho

Serra D´Arga Waterfalls, 7 Lagoons Tour with Picnic & Vinho Verde: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Porto.

How much does Serra D´Arga Waterfalls, 7 Lagoons Tour with Picnic & Vinho Verde cost?

    +

Prices start at $300 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Porto usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Serra D´Arga Waterfalls, 7 Lagoons Tour with Picnic & Vinho Verde take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Porto is not rushed.

Is Serra D´Arga Waterfalls, 7 Lagoons Tour with Picnic & Vinho Verde worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Porto, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Serra D´Arga Waterfalls, 7 Lagoons Tour with Picnic & Vinho Verde?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Serra D´Arga Waterfalls, 7 Lagoons Tour with Picnic & Vinho Verde suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Serra D´Arga Waterfalls, 7 Lagoons Tour with Picnic & Vinho Verde?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Porto can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Porto and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Serra D´Arga Waterfalls, 7 Lagoons Tour with Picnic & Vinho Verde start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Porto within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Porto?

    +

On Outty we rank every Porto experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Unvanquished Tour in Porto City Center, Porto's #1 Walking Tour, Small Group Geres National Park Full Day with picnic from Porto. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Porto?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Porto?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
