Not a foodie tour
Didn't feel the tour offered us off the beaten path or authentic experiences. The guide admitted he wasn't a foodie. Not worth the money in any way.
Response from the operator: Hello Christopher, We’re truly sorry to hear that the experience fell short of your expectations, particularly in providing authentic, off-the-beaten-path insights and the level of food expertise you were hoping for. We’ve taken this seriously and are reviewing the experience and host match to ensure better alignment with guest expectations. Your trust means a lot to us, and we’d love the chance to make it right with a more tailored and memorable experience next time. Warm regards, Sheenah and the City Unscripted team

This is experience was...
This is experience was all about the guide. Jay made this very memorable and we are very thankful. He explained where and what we were doing. He always asked to make sure the walk was going to be ok. Took pictures of us. Explained not only the food but the history and construction of the city.
Response from the operator: Your review truly made our day! Jay's thoughtful approach and attention to detail clearly made for an unforgettable experience, and we’re so happy you enjoyed it. Thanks for choosing City Unscripted and here's to more great adventures!

Yummy and fun experience
GJ did a great job showing us around and ensuring that we got to try some great food. We will do this tour again in the future.
Response from the operator: We're thrilled to hear that GJ made your experience enjoyable and introduced you to some fantastic food. Thank you for your wonderful feedback!

Best food tour!
We had the pleasure of getting a food tour with Andrew during a long layover in Seoul. Such a great experience! He was very accommodating to having jet lagged kids and food allergies. We were able to get some history on Korea during our drive also. Besides him being knowledgeable, he was great to be around. I highly recommend!
Response from the operator: I'm thrilled to learn that you enjoyed your time with Andrew, and your description of the experience sounds genuinely thrilling! We appreciate you sharing your personal recommendations with fellow travelers, and a heartfelt thank you for the positive review. Your feedback holds great significance for us!

the worst experiene of my life
it was so bad i want my money back. she was unprepaired. walking alomg grabbing bits of food of a food stall is not a food tour.
Response from the operator: Hello Robin, I understand your frustration, as it seems there was a misunderstanding regarding the nature of the tour, and for that, we apologize. Our intention was to provide an opportunity to sample local Seoul food from food stalls during the tour. Your feedback is important to us, and we're actively reviewing our tour descriptions to ensure they accurately reflect the experience our guests can expect. If you need any more help, don't hesitate to reach out to our friendly customer service team. Warm regards, Ruslan and the City Unscripted Team

Why this scores 51
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Seoul Private Food Tours with a Local Foodie: 100% Personalized: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Seoul.
How much does Seoul Private Food Tours with a Local Foodie: 100% Personalized cost?
+
Prices start at $223 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Seoul usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Seoul Private Food Tours with a Local Foodie: 100% Personalized take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Seoul is not rushed.
Is Seoul Private Food Tours with a Local Foodie: 100% Personalized worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 51 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Seoul, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Seoul Private Food Tours with a Local Foodie: 100% Personalized?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Seoul Private Food Tours with a Local Foodie: 100% Personalized suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Seoul Private Food Tours with a Local Foodie: 100% Personalized?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Seoul can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Seoul and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Seoul Private Food Tours with a Local Foodie: 100% Personalized start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Seoul within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Seoul?
+
On Outty we rank every Seoul experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include DMZ Tour: Defector Q&A, Tunnel & Suspension Bridge /Hotel pick up, Best DMZ Tour Seoul: Defector Q&A, 3rd Tunnel & Suspension Bridge, 2026 Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best: DMZ Tour from Seoul. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Seoul?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Seoul?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
