Very informative tour
We had a fantastic time on this tour despite the rainy weather. Eric was friendly, knowledgeable and made the day both informative and enjoyable. The itinerary was very well planned, with a great mix of history, culture and local highlights. We especially appreciated the extra information and photo links provided afterwards, a very thoughtful touch. Highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting an engaging and authentic experience.
Response from the operator: Thank you Julie for your kind words. The photos will show you what landmarks are like on a clear day.

A sunny day in Seoul made...
A sunny day in Seoul made even better by an expert-led walking tour. Eric is remarkably knowledgeable, effortlessly bridging the gap between historic Korean heritage and contemporary life. His commentary turned a simple stroll into a fascinating masterclass on the city’s evolution.
Response from the operator: Thank you Erika for your kind words. We were lucky to have such great weather.

History tour with Eric
This was an incredible and in depth tour on the history of the different dynasty’s that ruled Korea as well as more recent history post the Korean War. Eric’s knowledge was extremely impressive and he had the most in detail oriented answer to almost every question we asked. He also made most of the tour in chronological order making it easy to follow and remember. Of all the tours globally I’ve done on history this is one of the top for sure - highly recommend.
Response from the operator: Thank you Ashwin for your kind words. I was happy to receive your insightful questions.

The tour was great, I...
The tour was great, I learned a lot about the city and its history, as well as the history of South Korea. Eric is knowledgeable and passionate about history and made the tour fun while you learn more than just the headlines about the city. This was one of my favorite experiences of my trip. Would highly recommend.
Response from the operator: Thank you Anthony for your kind words. I'm glad it was fun.

Outstanding History Tour
Book this history tour with Eric! I’ve visited many countries, had great experiences with all my walking tours, but can honestly say this tour with Eric was exceptional. From the start to the end the information gained has helped me have a greater understanding of the history and culture of Seoul South Korea and Korean Peninsula. As the tour progressed I began to feel immersed an able to understand what was being said, not always the case with all of my History Tours in the past. I felt very comfortable chatting with Eric as the tour unfolded. I very much appreciated being able to as for greater clarity on some of the issues. If you’re reading this review don’t hesitate book it, you won’t be disappointed. Thanks Eric usually the next day I’ve forgotten some of the dates that are given on tours. But seem to have remembered most that you gave me.
Response from the operator: Thank you Mark for your kind words. I hope to see you once more when you visit Korea again.

Why this scores 70
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Seoul History Walking Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Seoul.
How much does Seoul History Walking Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $17 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Seoul usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Seoul History Walking Tour take?
+
Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Seoul is not rushed.
Is Seoul History Walking Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Seoul, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Seoul History Walking Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Seoul History Walking Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 5. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 3.5-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Seoul History Walking Tour?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Seoul can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Seoul and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Seoul History Walking Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Seoul within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Seoul?
+
On Outty we rank every Seoul experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include DMZ Tour: Defector Q&A, Tunnel & Suspension Bridge /Hotel pick up, Best DMZ Tour Seoul: Defector Q&A, 3rd Tunnel & Suspension Bridge, 2026 Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best: DMZ Tour from Seoul. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Seoul?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Seoul?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
