One of the best tour guides we have had in Korea

The tour guide Kim is a gem. We have been in Korea for a week now and he is by far the best tour guide we have had. Extremely knowledgeable, personable and his English is fantastic. The hike was a really good and definitely not for beginners but totally doable.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your kind review. We're so happy to hear you enjoyed the hike and had a great experience with Kim. We hope to see you again on another adventure in Korea..!!

Memorable trip with a great guide

Amazing trip. Hike and temple awe inspiring. Our guide Mr. Kim was attentive, knowledgeable and insightful both in regard to the hike and experiencing Korean culture. He even dropped us off at a fantastic restaurant instead of our hotel.

Our world best hiking guide Kim will be very happy to know his knowledge, care, and cultural insights made your trip even more special. We hope to welcome you again on another adventure in Korea..!!

Mr. Kim and Ulsanbawi are awesome!

Mr. Kim was punctual and an absolute joy to converse with. I think we talked non-stop to/from Seoul. He had me laughing so much that I still smile when I think about that day. I look forward to booking him again the next time I am in SK! I am sure there is still plenty for us to chat about.😆 The weather was perfect and the hike was great. Do be prepared for the hundreds of steps and ensure you can handle the 3.8km trek and hundreds of steps up the incline to elevation!!!!

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for the best complement review. Please come again and join us other hiking tour. We are the number 1 hiking tour agency in Korea.

Ulsanbawi best hike with a guide

The tour was perfectly corresponding to the description ! It was such a great experience and discovery : first the landscape was outstanding, then our guide (Kim) was great. He knows perfectly the place, and let us walk at our own pace. Also he gave us the opportunity to discover South Korea culture and history, and explanation all along the trail, what I really appreciate. Transportation was very smooth, the road was beautiful and the timing was perfect. Communication for preparing hike and pick-up was easy. Thank you so much for this amazing day, we will never forget it !

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind compliment. It was a big pleasure to have you as our tourists. Our guide also truly enjoyed hiking with your members. Please come back to Korea again and enjoy Korea's nature with us.

Seoraksan National Park Ulsanbawi Hiking from Seoul: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Seoul.

How much does Seoraksan National Park Ulsanbawi Hiking from Seoul cost?

+

Prices start at $98 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Seoul usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Seoraksan National Park Ulsanbawi Hiking from Seoul take?

+

Plan for about 11 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Seoul is not rushed.

Is Seoraksan National Park Ulsanbawi Hiking from Seoul worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 19 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Seoul, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Seoraksan National Park Ulsanbawi Hiking from Seoul?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Seoraksan National Park Ulsanbawi Hiking from Seoul suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 12. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 11-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Seoraksan National Park Ulsanbawi Hiking from Seoul?

+

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Seoul can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Seoul and add a light layer if any part of the 11-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Seoraksan National Park Ulsanbawi Hiking from Seoul start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Seoul within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Seoul?

+

On Outty we rank every Seoul experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include DMZ Tour: Defector Q&A, Tunnel & Suspension Bridge /Hotel pick up, Best DMZ Tour Seoul: Defector Q&A, 3rd Tunnel & Suspension Bridge, 2026 Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best: DMZ Tour from Seoul. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Seoul?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Seoul?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
