    Highly recommended experience

Highly recommended experience. Did the High Tasting, which includes a tour of the town, transport to the vineyards and winery, and return to the bistro. The guide, who is also the owner, is available and very well-prepared in illustrating all the concepts and steps from the vineyard to the winemaking. Pleasant discovery of the bistro's cuisine, well-prepared and succulent dishes that accompanied the tasted wines to perfection. To finish, excellent quality wines where the producer's passion shines through. Excellent quality/price ratio. Recommended

    Worth the trip.

From the vineyards to the winery, ending with a fantastic and generous food and wine tasting. Our guide was the owner himself, a true gentleman, very professional yet friendly at the same time.

    Unforgettable experience

There are places that produce wine and then there are places that tell a story. Sella delle Spine undoubtedly belongs to the second category. The true soul of this winery is Luigi Caggiano, a man of rare preparation, capable of transforming a simple visit into an emotional journey through history, tradition, territory, and wine culture. Every one of his explanations stems from deep expertise, but what is truly striking is the authentic passion he conveys in every word. He does not limit himself to presenting his wines: he tells an entire philosophy of life. The tour through the vineyards and the winery is an engaging experience, while the tasting is simply extraordinary. Every glass encapsulates the identity of Irpinia and Taurasi, expressing quality, elegance, and character. Everything is taken care of down to the smallest detail, from the welcome to the pairing with local products, in a warm and familiar atmosphere that makes every guest feel truly special. Sella delle Spine is not just a winery: it is a place where you breathe love for your land, respect for tradition, and a continuous pursuit of excellence. Luigi Caggiano represents the perfect example of an entrepreneur who has known how to transform his passion into an unforgettable experience for anyone lucky enough to meet him. Five stars are not enough. If you love wine, culture, and authentic emotions, this is a must-visit stop. You arrive as visitors and leave with the certainty of having experienced something unique. Compliments to Luigi Caggiano and the entire Sella delle Spine family for having created an excellence that makes Irpinia and Italy proud.

    The big heart of Irpinia

Visiting the Sella delle Spine winery means taking a journey not only into taste, but into the true values of the Irpinian land. What strikes you most is the extraordinary generosity of the owners: a warm welcome, informal but taken care of in the smallest details, which makes you feel right at home. Theirs is a genuine passion, transmitted with the smile of those who do not limit themselves to selling wine, but share the fruit of years of hard work, history and dedication, telling the story of each bottle with enthusiasm. Thank you for sharing a small piece of your history with us. Daniele and Annalisa

Sella delle Spine Taurasi: Tasting, Vineyard and Cellar Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Salerno.

How much does Sella delle Spine Taurasi: Tasting, Vineyard and Cellar Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Salerno usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Sella delle Spine Taurasi: Tasting, Vineyard and Cellar Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Salerno is not rushed.

Is Sella delle Spine Taurasi: Tasting, Vineyard and Cellar Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 46 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Salerno, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Sella delle Spine Taurasi: Tasting, Vineyard and Cellar Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Sella delle Spine Taurasi: Tasting, Vineyard and Cellar Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Sella delle Spine Taurasi: Tasting, Vineyard and Cellar Tour?

    +

Around 16 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Salerno can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Salerno and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Sella delle Spine Taurasi: Tasting, Vineyard and Cellar Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Salerno within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Salerno?

    +

On Outty we rank every Salerno experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full-Day Amalfi Coast Experience from Sorrento, Naples or Salerno, Small-Group Amalfi Coast Day Cruise from Positano, Amalfi Coast Boat tour Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Salerno?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Salerno?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
