Exciting, cosy and a super location.
Nice mystery. And actually more challenging than expected... 👍 Super nice and cozy location. We got taken some pictures ☰ It is recommended to solve the mystery in the evening. We were out at 23:00 when there were no people... We will definitely try it in other cities as well.
Response from the operator: Dear Jeppe, thank you so much for the fantastic feedback! We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the mystery and found it to be a fun challenge. 👌 It sounds like you captured some amazing photos out there! 📸 🤩 Your tip about doing the mystery around 11 PM to avoid the crowds is actually brilliant—there is definitely a special, immersive atmosphere in the city at that time. 🤌 We would love to have you try our mysteries in other cities too! Since you are already looking for your next adventure, you can check out all our home page. Thanks again for sharing your experience, and we hope to see you on another hunt soon! Best regards, Rasmus Solve A Mystery

Not like everything else!
It’s a great way to explore while doing something different from the usual tourist activities. Everything ran smoothly, and it kept us entertained the entire time. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for something a bit out of the ordinary!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind review! We’re really happy to hear that you enjoyed exploring in a different way and that the experience kept you entertained throughout 😊 That’s exactly what we hope for — something a little out of the ordinary that still feels smooth, fun, and engaging from start to finish. And thank you for recommending us, it truly means a lot! We hope to see you again for another adventure 🔎✨ Regs. Rasmus

A Scam!!!
It's a scam!! I've been here for over half an hour and still no. He sent me the QRCODE to enter!!! What a disappointment
Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback, and I’m really sorry for the frustration you’re experiencing. If you haven’t received your QR code after 30 minutes, something is clearly not working as it should. Please check the following quickly: * Your spam/junk folder in your email * The email address used at checkout (small typo errors happen) * Any confirmation email from us that may contain the QR code or a download link If you still can’t find it, please contact us directly with your booking name and time, and we will resend your QR code immediately and make sure you can get started as soon as possible. We understand the disappointment, and we’ll do everything we can to fix this for you right away.

Scam for a booklet
The activity is completely misleading. It seems that you are going to do a group activity, and/or guided and nothing further from the activity. They give you a booklet, very expensive by the way, so that you can walk around Madrid solving puzzles. You are not going to learn anything, it is child's play that is not worth paying for. Print your tracks at home, it's cheaper than this scam
Response from the operator: Hi We are so sorry to hear that you haven't been satisfied with your mystery hunt. We really appreciate your feedback as this help us improve. We understand you found the price too high, what price do you think is a fair price for the people of Madrid? Our experiences are sold per person, similar to other city walks, tourist tours, and escape rooms. Regarding the provided materials, we have a slogan called "minimum waste," which means that we care about nature and the resources we use. That's why we carry the Swan and environmental labels, which plant trees to offset the resources we use for printing. Therefore, we provide one set of papers for every four participants instead of giving everyone individual papers. We have conducted tests and surveys that show that four people sharing a set of papers is optimal for everyone to be able to see them and be equally engaged. If the group is larger, fitting amounts of material will be provided. We hope that as a group, you can share the papers and help protect the environment. We hope for your understanding. As for the level of difficulty we often hear our mysteries are to the more complicated side, maybe you are an amazing investigator and your level is more than beyond impressive. But please let us know what part of the mystery made you feel like it was a children's game – this way we can adjust the difficulty level. Thank you so much for your feedback. Best wishes Rasmus from Solve a Mystery

Mystery Hunt FTW
As an avid Mystery Hunt user I was thrilled to try this new mystery. Although some of the tasks were hard we did solve it in the end. I can recommend this to all true crime fans. It was kind of like an outdoor escape room.

Why this scores 47
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Selfguided mystery hunt by The Royal Palace in Madrid: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Madrid.
How much does Selfguided mystery hunt by The Royal Palace in Madrid cost?
+
Prices start at $46 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Madrid usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Selfguided mystery hunt by The Royal Palace in Madrid take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Madrid is not rushed.
Is Selfguided mystery hunt by The Royal Palace in Madrid worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 47 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.3/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Madrid, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Selfguided mystery hunt by The Royal Palace in Madrid?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Selfguided mystery hunt by The Royal Palace in Madrid suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Selfguided mystery hunt by The Royal Palace in Madrid?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Madrid can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Madrid and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Selfguided mystery hunt by The Royal Palace in Madrid start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Madrid within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Madrid?
+
On Outty we rank every Madrid experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Madrid Essential: Historic Center, Plaza Mayor & Royal Palace, Madrid Walking Tour from Puerta del Sol to Retiro Park, Madrid Oscuro: Torture, Ghosts, Crimes and Legends. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Madrid?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Madrid?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
