This activity has been designed by a local ‘expert’, who has created a fun experience that takes you to some of the town’s highlights and the lesser-known places, away from all the tourists. The puzzles are designed to help you experience the place from a different perspective – using landmarks, murals, statues etc - and you’ll even learn some ‘fun facts’ along the way. The self guided aspect of Adventure Hunt means that you can rush through as fast as you like or stop for a drink or something to eat as you like. The app remembers your progress and even allows you to complete your activity another day. The activity aims to strike a fun balance between challenging puzzles, a fun outing with friends and family and a pleasant walk around outside.

I didn't like it
I didn't like it, it focused little on the history of lakes. Some tracks were out of date. The path was repetitive
Response from the operator: Olá José. Hi Jose. I’m sorry to hear that our Adventure Hunt around Lagos didn’t meet your expectations. While we do include some ‘fun facts’ about the city in the Hunt, the emphasis is on the ‘fun’ element – solving puzzles - and we do say that it is not a substitute for a guided tour. In terms of the path, this is designed to introduce you to both the city’s highlights and some of the less busy backstreets. Most of the puzzles are concentrated around the main streets, as this is where many of the city’s iconic buildings and structures are located. I’m not sure what you mean by ‘out of date’ but I checked the route and all the puzzles yesterday and everything is working correctly. I appreciate that Adventure Hunts aren’t for everyone and I’m sorry that you didn’t enjoy it but thanks for taking the time to write a review anyway, as feedback is always welcome.

Gentle exercise for body and mind. Would be great for all ages.
We decided to do this treasure trail after doing the Alvor one as it gives you a couple of hours of gentle exercise for the body and mind. It is an interesting way of looking around the town and solving clues that end up taking you off the usual streets full of shops, bars and restaurants. We really like the way that the clues are not timed so if you pass somewhere nice for food or drink, you’re able to stop and start again where you left off.
Response from the operator: Thanks for the lovely review. We love your description of Adventure Hunt as ‘exercise for the body and mind’! Great to hear that you also enjoyed the route too. We design the Adventure Hunts routes to take people to both the highlights or a town and its ‘hidden gems’.

Amazing day hunting for clues and taking pictures of the street art in Lagos
We had such fun, doing this adventure hunt completely changed our mood. We were feeling a bit sad because the day was grey and rainy and after we started we were so happy looking for the clues and taking pictures of the streets that we had never visited before in Lagos that we had a big smile on our faces after the adventure. Thank you for showing us a different way to see Lagos.
Response from the operator: Thank you such a lovely review. We’re delighted that we were able to lighten your mood! Great pictures too and nice to see that you brought your dog along. All of our Adventure Hunts are dog-friendly although we’re not sure how good they’ll be at solving the puzzles 😊

Loads of fun!
Have always been a big fan of murals & graffiti and Adventure Hunt was a great way to see all the wonderful street art in Lagos! Enjoyed how the clues/challenges made you more aware and notice the details in the artwork, as well as give fun & interesting facts about the art/artists. Took us a couple of hours to complete at a leisurely pace and the interactive app worked nicely to guide us. Was also a great way to see parts of Lagos we might not have explored otherwise. Highly recommended!
Response from the operator: Thanks for such a positive review! Great to hear that you enjoyed solving the puzzles and finding out more about the artwork too.

How far in advance should I book Self Guided Scavenger Hunt in Lagos?
+

Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lagos can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lagos?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lagos?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
