    Burden to the staff

From the start Marlon didn't say not one word to us. Extremely rude. Tracy had an attitude problem. The onlybnuce one was Marshall. The tour was good except for our guides. Don't know why we needed three. They didn't do anything. Didn't explain anything. Don't know how they still have a job. I gave no tip bc it was poor service. The driving was fun and seeing tje country was great. It felt like we were a big burden to the guides though. Totally unprofessional!!

Response from the operator: Hello Ellena, We regret that your experience fell short of our usual standards at Island Routes, where we strive to provide the best service for our guests. Rest assured that we take your feedback seriously and are committed to maintaining excellence. We're glad, however, that there was a positive aspect of the tour. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. Best, IR Experience

    Overpriced!

The drive on its own was beautiful and exiting for those who are not used to drive on the left side of the road. Watch the potholes. Nevertheless, we found the tour is over priced. We were the only couple on that day taking the tour. From the start we were not feeling welcomed by the crew. Already at the first stop “Coconut joint”, the souvenirs were way overpriced so were the drinks. Although our lunch was included, we had to pay for bottled water ourselves. Especially in a country like this, we didn’t want to drink sirup or tab water with ice, not knowing what the ice is made of. Tab water and Sirup were free. The instructions while driving were given through Walkitalki, which was good. But we barely received any info on the places we visited nor of Jamaica in general. All in all, we felt more like a burden to the crew than anything else. There was barely any interaction. May be they just had a bad day. I would suggest to consider renting a car or probably a taxi to do the same route at that price.

    Driving Mini Coopers

We had the best time with Tracy and Merlon driving Mini Cooper’s. Merlon was the lead driver and Tracy was on the walkie-talkie giving us the confidence we needed to drive on the left side of the road. Was very nervous about driving on the left side of the road but they guided us perfectly all day! Highly recommend this tour was the perfect way to see parts of Jamaica!

    Mini Cooper tour

We had a private tour and this was the highlight of our excursions in Jamaica! Loved driving the countryside, seeing the towns and locals, sight seeing, experiencing driving on left side Of road and right side of car(little scary but fun!!)

    Mini Cooper Adventure

We had the best time with Tracy and Merlon. Merlon was the lead driver and Tracy was on the walkie-talkies guiding us along. Helping us avoid the pot holes. Don’t let drive on the opposite side of the ride intimidate you, this tour is the best we’ve ever been on.

Response from the operator: Hello, Thank you for sharing your experience with us at Island Routes in Montego Bay. It is good to hear you enjoyed the overall experience on the MINI Routes experience Montego Bay to Negril with your two guides. We appreciate the time it took to write this review and look forward to your return to the Caribbean for another adventure. All the best, IR Guest Experiences

Self-Driven MINI Cooper Tour From Montego Bay To Negril: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Montego Bay.

How much does Self-Driven MINI Cooper Tour From Montego Bay To Negril cost?

    +

Prices start at $183 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Montego Bay usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Self-Driven MINI Cooper Tour From Montego Bay To Negril take?

    +

Plan for about 6.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Montego Bay is not rushed.

Is Self-Driven MINI Cooper Tour From Montego Bay To Negril worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Montego Bay, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Self-Driven MINI Cooper Tour From Montego Bay To Negril?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Self-Driven MINI Cooper Tour From Montego Bay To Negril suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Self-Driven MINI Cooper Tour From Montego Bay To Negril?

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Montego Bay can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Montego Bay and add a light layer if any part of the 6.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Self-Driven MINI Cooper Tour From Montego Bay To Negril start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Montego Bay within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Montego Bay?

    +

On Outty we rank every Montego Bay experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Montego Bay Airport Transfer to Negril, Blue Hole and Dunn's River Falls Private Tour from Montego Bay, Appleton Estate Admission Ticket & Distillery Tour with Tastings. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Montego Bay?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Montego Bay?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
