Excellent Ghost Tour! A Must for any Gettysburg visit!

We recently moved to Gettysburg and I was American about how haunted it was, I lived in a home in an old mill town in Maryland previously that had a few resident spirits, as a result, I tend to be a bit skeptical about claims of ghosts especially in high tourist traffic areas. Ive also taken ghost tours all over, visiting some of the “most haunted” cities the country and this tour by far had the most active spirits. EMF readings off the charts and multiple orb/auras captured on multiple cameras within the tour group at two different sites! The knowledge and research conduct by Gettysburg Ghost Tours definitely sets them apart. If you enjoy Ghost tours and history, this is definitely a tour to add to the list of must do’s. It was my first since moving here and I plan to go again soon!

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing such a detailed review! We're thrilled to hear that your first ghost tour in Gettysburg exceeded expectations, especially given your experience with other haunted locations. It's wonderful that the activity, EMF readings, and captured evidence made the tour so memorable, and we're glad our team's knowledge and research stood out to you. We can't wait to welcome you back for another adventure soon!

    A time in history

We had Richard as our guide. As a former professor of history his vast knowledge of the civil war is such an asset to the tour! His stories were so interesting to listen to you could see the the time in history in your mind just from his descriptions.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're so glad you had the chance to tour with Richard - his background as a history professor is truly an asset, and it's clear his passion for sharing those stories shines through. It's amazing to hear that his vivid descriptions helped you picture that moment in time so clearly. We'll be sure to share your kind words with him - thank you for joining us, and we hope to see you again for more history and stories.

How long does Secrets of Gettysburg Untold Stories: Beyond the Battlefield Tour take?

    +

Is Secrets of Gettysburg Untold Stories: Beyond the Battlefield Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Gettysburg, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Secrets of Gettysburg Untold Stories: Beyond the Battlefield Tour?

    +

Is Secrets of Gettysburg Untold Stories: Beyond the Battlefield Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Secrets of Gettysburg Untold Stories: Beyond the Battlefield Tour?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Gettysburg can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Gettysburg and add a light layer if any part of the 1.4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Gettysburg?

    +

Gettysburg is a guide town: licensed battlefield guides in your own car, bus and horseback battlefield tours, ghost lantern walks and museum entries covering the three-day battle. On Outty we rank every Gettysburg experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Spirits of Jennie Wade Ghost Night Tour in Gettysburg, Echoes of War All Ages Ghost Tour, 2-Hour Gettysburg Battlefield Guided History Bus Tour with a National Park Guide. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Gettysburg?

    +

April to June and September to October. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Gettysburg?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
