    Croatian wine

In the port of Milna on Brac is a wine bar called Vinoretum. It's run by the amazing Keno Ramic and there you will find a marvellous selection of stunning Croatian wines. Keno's enthusiasm for his country's wines knows no bounds and he is an absolutely fabulous host. I spent all my working life in the wine business but never came across Croatian wines to any great extent. Now I have! Big time!! Vinoretum is a franchise and unfortunately that does not allow Keno to serve wine by the glass. But he'll open a bottle you might fancy for a taster as long as you go on and drink it all! And pay for it!!! He serves cold meets and cheeses if you so desire or maybe some anchovies or other small fish. If you're on B ray go and see Keno

An amazing way to see the Croatian coast

After much searching but without a definite plan my family and I decided we wanted to island hop in Croatia by boat one day. Running out of time on our vacation I contacted Toni via WhatsApp when the site wouldn’t allow me to book with my foreign credit card. He was extremely delightful and helpful which secured my decision in booking with his company. I booked the Hvar + the secrets of Solta and Brac at the last minute so there weren’t many slots or boats available but he pulled some strings and got us a great boat and skipper for the day. We were staying outside of Split on the harbor in Kastela Sucurac and he told us he could just pick us up there!!!! Which meant we didn’t have to taxi into split! What amazing guest service! Our Skipper Blaz picked us up and he was awesome from the start! He had water and other drinks for us waiting. We were with my parents so they insisted he drive slower lol. He constantly was checking on them and making small talk with my dad. The ride was beautiful out to all of the islands. The secret beach in Brac was incredible as there were only 5 other people on the beach. In Solta we had mojitos from the floating mojito bar and swam in the crystal blue waters. Hvar was nice to walk around and have breakfast right on the water as we docked. I would do this tour all over again. The boat itself was both nice and comfortable and Blaz kept us laughing the whole time! We had so much fun with him...thank you Toni, Blaz, and the whole Tamaris family...we can’t wait to come back!

Response from the operator: Dear Autumn, reading reviews like yours reminds me why I love this job! We always strive to exceed our client's expectations, but sometimes it also happens the other way around :) Loads of thanks to you and your family from all of us at Tamaris Charter! Till next time :) Toni Vitezica ~Tamaris Charter~

A nice relaxing day on the water

We did the Hvar tour with Secrets if Brac and Solta. This was nice as it was away from the crowds. Marco was our skipper. His role was more of a skipper than a tour guide, but he was nice and happy to accommodate. If you are a serious snorkeler, it’s best to bring your own mask. They had a number of masks and snorkels on the boat in variable condition. We had enough time in Hvar to hike up to the fortress and then get a refreshment afterwards in town. The grilled fresh fish at the restaurant by the water in Solta was great. At the end, be sure to have cash ready for payment if you did not pre-pay on line beforehand. We had only prepaid the deposit, so we had to run to the ATM not sure if we could withdraw the full amount because the cost was over our daily withdrawal limit, but it worked out.

Response from the operator: Dear Melina, thank you for your lovely review. Regarding the payment, our office is in Trogir, but we offer free pickup in Split, to make it more convenient for our clients from Split. When booking the tour online, you get to choose between the full payment and the reservation payment. In case you choose the reservation option, the rest can be paid by card at our office in Trogir, or in cash at any other pickup location. I'm glad it all worked out well :) Best of luck Toni Vitezica ~Tamaris Charter~

    Perfect day off

I'm not a preson who will write a review, mostly because l'm so hard to please, but this deserves to be an exception. So, booked this tour with few girl friends to have a nice, relaxing day... and it was by far the best idea ever! Destinations are beyond beautiful, but kudos to Tamaris team for providing us all and making our chill day so special. Boat was clean and well maintained, pretty fast,as well 😁 Our skipper for the day was Leo, great guy with a lot of patience for a loud group of women, and good looking, too 😉 Hard to imagine it gets any better, right? Oh,but it does... An amazing day on some great beaches made us really, really hungry... But,nothing to worry about, our lunch was booked, delicious and on the perfect location with lovely view. This was exactly what we hoped for and l will cherish memory of this day for a long, long time. Thank you Tamaris!

Response from the operator: Dear Nora, Thank you so much for this awesome review. Leo had a great day also! I hope to see you and your crew again next year as you promised. Say hello to the girls for me and wish you all the best! Cheers, Emily

Secrets of Brac and Solta - Off the Beaten Track Croatia: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Split.

How much does Secrets of Brac and Solta - Off the Beaten Track Croatia cost?

    +

Prices start at $1039 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Split usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Secrets of Brac and Solta - Off the Beaten Track Croatia take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Split is not rushed.

Is Secrets of Brac and Solta - Off the Beaten Track Croatia worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Split, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Secrets of Brac and Solta - Off the Beaten Track Croatia?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Secrets of Brac and Solta - Off the Beaten Track Croatia suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Secrets of Brac and Solta - Off the Beaten Track Croatia?

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Split can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Split and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Secrets of Brac and Solta - Off the Beaten Track Croatia start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Split within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Split?

    +

On Outty we rank every Split experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Split Small-Group Walking Tour with a Magister of History, Split Walking Tour with Professor of History, From Split: Krka Waterfalls, Food & Wine Tasting Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Split?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Split?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
