Best experience!

This was the most incredible experience we have had in Italy! A must do to experience Rome beyond the main attractions. We were hosted by Valerio and Enrico who zipped us through areas of Rome we would have never explored without them. It felt so relaxed, like we were spending the day with our friends. I’m a bit of a nervous passenger and felt so comfortable and safe riding. Don’t hesitate, book this now!

Response from the operator: Danielle, we had such a pleasant time with you and Sam yesterday morning. It's when we meet people like you, that we understand how privileged we are. Strong Hug to you and Sam. Buona Fortuna!! Valerio.

My tour guide was the best ! So knowlegible and friendly . Took us everywhere and truly showed us the secrets of Rome! Safe driver, on time and had tasty gelato finale. This was my favorite tour, and would highly recommend this experience !

Response from the operator: Grazie mille for your kind review! Our boys always take care of people who want to discover the beauty of this great city. Ciao!

Exceptional - Off the Beaten Path Tour

Private Vespa Ride along tour you can customize to see what you want. We visited St. Peter in Chains, a Monastery, Roman Bathhouse ruins, Circus Maximus, Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere, coffee and pastries at a fabulous cafe in Testaccio and ended at the famous Malta keyhole on Aventine Hill. It was wonderful and I can’t recommend it enough.

Response from the operator: Ciao Tammy, it's me, Valerio, your Guide. Thank you, for choosing such a charming experience that enriches, always, our day also! Ciao!!

Most Fun in All of Rome, Giacomo best guide

Honestly the most fun I had in Rome. My driver was Giacomo amd I couldn't have asked for a better guide. He knew Rome like the back of his hand and showed me places I never would have discovered otherwise. Not only was his knowledge of the city extremely impressive, his warm and outgoing personality made the experience unforgettable. Beforehand, I was a bit nervous, having never ridden on a Vespa before. However, he put me at ease almost instantly, and was such an excellent driver that all my nerves quickly disappeared. He took me to sights I will remember for the rest of my life, including a park with a grove of orange trees where we watched the sunset over St. Peter's and the ruins of an ancient bathhouse. He shared fascinating historical details, like how the orange trees were actually not indigenous to Italy but were brought overseas by Dominican monks centuries ago. After the tour, he even went so far as to give me lists of recommendations for restaurants, sites and shops for both Rome and the next city I was planning on visiting while in Italy. A lifelong denizen of Rome, his love for the city truly shined through. Highly recommend.

Response from the operator: Grazie Mille for your words. We do daily our best to pass to our guests, our passion for life and beauty. Giacomo sends his grateful and warm greetings.

A Vespa tour to remember

Ricardo and Andy were fabulous hosts on our tour and skilled drivers. They were good company and extremely knowledgeable about Roman history and monuments we visited. This was a fantastic way to see Rome and to get around as the locals do. Fabulous day and great fun. Highly recommend !

Secret Rome by Vespa private Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rome.

How much does Secret Rome by Vespa private Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $167 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rome usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Secret Rome by Vespa private Tour take?

+

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rome is not rushed.

Is Secret Rome by Vespa private Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rome, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Secret Rome by Vespa private Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Secret Rome by Vespa private Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 8. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Secret Rome by Vespa private Tour?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rome can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rome and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Secret Rome by Vespa private Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rome within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Rome?

+

Rome runs on skip-the-line access. The Colosseum underground, the Vatican before opening, and the catacombs south of the walls all require a licensed operator, and the price gap between the good ones and the rest is smaller than you would expect. We rank by guide credentials, group size and how reliably the promised access actually materialises. On Outty we rank every Rome experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Rome Pasta and Tiramisu Class: Ravioli, Fettuccine & Fine Wine 5*, Pasta Making & Wine Tasting with Dinner in Frascati from Rome, Rome: Pizza & Tiramisu or Gelato Class with Flowing Fine Wine 5*. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Rome?

+

April, May, September and October. August is hot and half the city is shut. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Rome?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
