Best Tour in AZ
Did the sunset tour with Nick and Parker and it was amazing. They were on it with being informative and thinking of situations that may occur. Explained the best ways to drive and what to expect on the trails! During the ride Nick made sure the group was keeping up at all times and was cautious. It was the perfect mix of thrill seeking but view catching! Would love to do this tour AGAIN!
Response from the operator: Thank you for the awesome review! We're so glad you enjoyed the sunset tour with Don and Parker. Safety and fun are always our top priorities, and it's great to hear they kept everyone informed, comfortable, and ready for the adventure ahead. The Sonoran Desert is especially beautiful at sunset, and we're happy you got to experience the perfect mix of exciting trails and incredible views. We'll be sure to share your kind words with Don and Parker. We can't wait to have you back for another ride with Desert Dog Offroad! 🌅🏜️🚙🐾⭐️

Nice family adventure.
It was good - Mike was great. It was very dusty but the trail was fun. Could have more areas of going a bit faster - the size of your was good - only five quads plus leader - Only one water break - and we could have switched up who was in the quad behind the leader to share the dust.
Response from the operator: Thanks so much for riding with us and for the thoughtful feedback! We’re really glad to hear you had a fun time and that Mike made the experience great for your group — he loves sharing the desert with our guests. The trails we run are considered technical desert terrain, which means they have a lot of natural features like rocks, washes, and turns. Because of that, we keep speeds controlled to make sure everyone stays safe while still enjoying the adventure. The dust is definitely part of the Sonoran Desert experience, but we appreciate the suggestion about rotating positions in the lineup so everyone can share the lead spot. We’ll absolutely keep that in mind for future tours. We’re happy you enjoyed the smaller group size as well — keeping our tours limited helps create a more personal experience out on the trail. Thanks again for joining us, and we hope to have you back out riding with Desert Dog Offroad Adventures again soon! 🌵🏜️

Finn in the desert
The guides were knowable of the area and machine Chris and Parker explained about the area and answered questions. Parker explained about the different cacti.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your review! 🌵 We’re so glad you enjoyed your Scottsdale off-road adventure with Desert Dog Offroad. Chris and Parker will be thrilled to know their knowledge of the Sonoran Desert and our UTVs made your experience even better. Learning about the different types of cactus and desert landscape is one of the things that makes this Arizona tour so special. We appreciate you riding with us and hope to see you again for another desert adventure! 🧡🐾

Why this scores 61
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Scottsdale Guided ATV/UTV 2 Person Sand Buggy Tour Phoenix: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Phoenix.
How much does Scottsdale Guided ATV/UTV 2 Person Sand Buggy Tour Phoenix cost?
+
Prices start at $180 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Phoenix usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Scottsdale Guided ATV/UTV 2 Person Sand Buggy Tour Phoenix take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Phoenix is not rushed.
Is Scottsdale Guided ATV/UTV 2 Person Sand Buggy Tour Phoenix worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 19 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Phoenix, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Scottsdale Guided ATV/UTV 2 Person Sand Buggy Tour Phoenix?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Scottsdale Guided ATV/UTV 2 Person Sand Buggy Tour Phoenix suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Scottsdale Guided ATV/UTV 2 Person Sand Buggy Tour Phoenix?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phoenix can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phoenix and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Scottsdale Guided ATV/UTV 2 Person Sand Buggy Tour Phoenix start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Phoenix within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Phoenix?
+
Phoenix runs on desert experiences: sunrise hot air balloon lifts over the Sonoran, Camelback and South Mountain hikes, off-road Tonto Forest tours and day trips to Sedona and the Grand Canyon. Heat safety and start times decide whether a tour is good, so we weight timing detail in the ranking. On Outty we rank every Phoenix experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kayaking the Salt River Foxtail Trip, Grand Canyon with Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon Van Tour, Phoenix Hot Air Balloon Ride at Sunrise. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Phoenix?
+
November to April. Summer tours run at dawn or not at all. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Phoenix?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
