Claiborne Pell Newport Bridge
On all of our boats, you will get great views of the Pell Bridge, see Fort Adams, the largest coastal fortification in North America, Hammersmith Farm, the old summer White House of JFK, and Clingstone a one-of-kind house on an island. The wind and tide are always changing and none of our boats follow an exact route, so no two trips are exactly alike!

Mimosa Sail on 10/2.
My wife and I took the morning Mimosa Sail on the schooner Aquidneck on October 1st. Gorgeous boat, lots of seating. Captain Ben and his crew were friendly and very entertaining. The cruise was about an hour and forty minutes. A beautiful day for sailing and the boat was very smooth. Captain Ben and his crew pointed out interesting sights along the shore. The time passed too quickly.

A beautiful ship
Sailed on a perfect and beautiful day on the Aquidneck at a 12:10. There were 38 of us and we were not crowed. If you are interested in drinking aboard, you must buy tickets in advance. Also, you line up about 20 minutes before you set sail so get there early. Captain and two mates on board, all very helpful and friendly. We had quite a bit of wind to get those beautiful sails up and alleviate the heat and brutal humidity. You can buy tickets there at last minute, however huge cruise ships come in on certain days of the week that could easily sell out your day and time so buy on line. Hurry before season ends to take advantage.

Great!
Matt, Dan and Kate were great! They made the cruise fun, explained sites as we came to them and were able to answer everyone’s questions. Highly recommend this tour!

Best Newport Weekend Activity
I have been a guest on the schooner Aquidneck 2 times, and I definitely plan to return. Both times the staff was incredibly hospitable and attentive (their mimosas are deliciously generous). I’m a Newport local and on both cruises the crew taught me new information about local history and sailing. This is the perfect day activity for a family, a party of friends, or someone interested in learning some local lore. The boat is also docked in a perfect location so you can treat yourself to waterfront dining before or after your cruise!

Best Experience of our Rhode Island Family Vacation
From the helpful website descriptions of cruise options, to the easy on-line booking, to the friendly dockside check-in staff, to the professional & knowledgeable crew, our family party-of-five adults are very pleased that we chose Sightsailing of Newport to take us on our tour of Narragansett Bay and its shoreline highlights aboard their Schooner Aquidneck. The three-man crew were clearly focused on maintaining passenger safety, while providing lots of modern & historical information describing the area sprinkled with occasional humor to lighten the mood and encourage interaction. The prices for their tours were a pleasant surprise, made even more pleasant by our great experience. Our group agreed this was one of the best destination tours we've each had, together or separately, and we would all highly recommend other visitors to the area include a few hours to enjoy the Newport waters with the Sightsailing folks as your personal guides.
Response from the operator: Hello: Thanks so much for your review of our company. We're glad to hear that your group enjoyed your sail on Aquidneck and found our website to be helpful and accurate and the online booking process a breeze. Our crew always try to strike the right balance between providing light, informative commentary and allowing guests to experience the peacefulness of sailing. We appreciate your feedback and hope to see you and your group, the next time you are in the area.

Why this scores 68
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Schooner Aquidneck Morning Mimosa Sail: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Newport.
How much does Schooner Aquidneck Morning Mimosa Sail cost?
+
Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Newport usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Schooner Aquidneck Morning Mimosa Sail take?
+
Plan for about 1.7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Newport is not rushed.
Is Schooner Aquidneck Morning Mimosa Sail worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Newport, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Schooner Aquidneck Morning Mimosa Sail?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Schooner Aquidneck Morning Mimosa Sail suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Schooner Aquidneck Morning Mimosa Sail?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Newport can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Newport and add a light layer if any part of the 1.7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Schooner Aquidneck Morning Mimosa Sail start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Newport within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Newport?
+
Newport sells mansion tours along Bellevue Avenue, Cliff Walk history, schooner and sunset sails on Narragansett Bay, and food walks through the colonial waterfront. On Outty we rank every Newport experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Newport Gilded Age Trolley Tour w/ Breakers Mansion Incl.(Age 8+), Newport Trolley Tour with Breakers Mansion - Viking Tours, Afternoon Grand Tour | Gansett Cruises in Newport, RI. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Newport?
+
May to October, with sailing at its best in July and August. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Newport?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Schooner Aquidneck Morning Mimosa Sail?
+
Included: Alcoholic beverages. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
Where is the meeting point for Schooner Aquidneck Morning Mimosa Sail?
+
Once you're at 49 America's Cup Ave., you will see the Seamen Church Institute. Walk towards the flagpole, follow the bricks onto the wharf. Hotel pickup is not included, so plan your own transport and arrive 15 minutes early.
What languages is Schooner Aquidneck Morning Mimosa Sail offered in?
+
It runs in English. Pick your language when choosing a date and time, as not every departure runs in every language.
Will I get instant confirmation and a mobile ticket for Schooner Aquidneck Morning Mimosa Sail?
+
Confirmation is sent by the operator after booking, usually within 48 hours; if it is not confirmed you are not charged. Mobile tickets are accepted, so you can show the voucher on your phone.
Is Schooner Aquidneck Morning Mimosa Sail wheelchair or stroller accessible?
+
The operator notes: Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap. If accessibility is critical, contact the operator after booking to confirm arrangements for your date.
What happens to Schooner Aquidneck Morning Mimosa Sail if the weather is bad?
+
This experience depends on good weather. If it is canceled because of poor weather, you are offered a different date or a full refund.
