My 16 year old daughter...
My 16 year old daughter and I had such a magical trip to Saturnia. Our guide was so kind and helpful, picked us up on time and took us to get a quick breakfast. The 2 hr drive up was scenic! It was a 95 degree day but the hot spring was pleasantly warm rather than scorching hot. So it was truly relaxing and the waters were therapeutic. We stayed at the hot springs for about 2-1/2 hours. Even when the other locals and tourists came, the area seemed to fit everyone! Our guide took us to a nice local lunch spot with housemaid pastas and sauces. And then to take a viewpoint in the town of Manciano. What a fabulous day trip out of Rome! Much needed to de-stress from all the travel and bustle in the City!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that you and your daughter had such a magical day in Saturnia. It’s great to know that you enjoyed the scenic drive, the relaxing thermal waters, and the chance to unwind away from the busy pace of Rome. We’re especially happy that your guide helped make the experience comfortable and enjoyable from start to finish—from breakfast and the journey through the Tuscan countryside to lunch and the beautiful views from Manciano. Sharing these special places with our guests is always a pleasure. Thank you for choosing to spend part of your Italian adventure with us. We hope the memories of Saturnia’s soothing waters and stunning landscapes stay with you for years to come. Safe travels, and we’d love to welcome you back again someday!

Very therapeutic and relaxing
Very cool experience, water was amazing and we felt very relaxed afterward. You will smell like sulfur and your skin will feel dry but it is a very therapeutic experience. Took 2 teens and a 9yr old they had fun exploring and walking all over the springs.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re glad to hear you and your family had a relaxing and enjoyable time and that the kids had fun exploring as well. Natural thermal springs can be a unique experience, and we’re happy you were able to enjoy both the therapeutic benefits and the sense of adventure. We appreciate your thoughtful feedback and hope to welcome you back again in the future! 🌿✨

Spectacular Day
This was the BEST way to spend the day. It was easy, relaxing and nothing was too much trouble. We were pucked up early from our accommodation with a breakfast stop on the way. We arrived while the thermal springs were not too busy and spent lots of time, we were not rushed at all. Afterwards we had lunch at a lovely authentic restaurant in a local town which was delicious. Our driver was Alchin and he was just lovely and gave us lots of ideas of things to do and places to eat when back in Rome. Such a lovely change from the hustle and heat of Rome.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're delighted to hear that your day was relaxing, enjoyable, and everything you hoped for. Starting early, arriving before the thermal springs became busy, and having plenty of time to enjoy the experience without feeling rushed is exactly what we aim to provide. We're especially pleased to hear that Alchin made your trip even more memorable. His local knowledge and recommendations for Rome are always appreciated by our guests, and we'll be sure to pass along your kind words to him. It’s also great to know that you enjoyed the authentic local lunch and appreciated the opportunity to escape the hustle and heat of Rome for a day. Thank you for choosing us for your experience, and we hope to welcome you back for another unforgettable adventure in the future! 😊✨🌿♨️

Loved it
Great experience , really enjoyed a lovely drive to the springs, stopping for breakfast at a little cafe and continued our way to the spring. Lockers, slippers (a total most), lockers and a wrap. We got great pictures, had so much fun. Afterwards we went on for lunch in a little village near by. The food was excellent, probably the best meal I had in Italy. Loved our driver
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re so happy to hear that you enjoyed the entire experience — from the scenic drive and relaxing thermal springs to the delicious lunch in the village afterward. It sounds like you truly made the most of the day! We’re especially glad you had fun, captured great memories, and enjoyed the hospitality along the way. Your kind words about the food and your driver mean so much to us — we’ll be sure to share them as well! Thank you again for choosing this experience, and we hope to welcome you back for another unforgettable day in Italy soon! 🇮🇹✨🚗♨️🍝

We went as a group of 4....
We went as a group of 4. Overall, the experience was great - breakfast, followed by a drive through the countryside, to the thermals (which had a small cafe as well!), and then lunch, finished up with a drive back. Drivers were great and welcoming. Pro tip: because the thermals have a lot of sulphur be sure to bring things you are okay to smell a bit afterwards - or have a plan to wash them a couple times!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your experience! It was wonderful having your group with us, and we’re so happy to hear you enjoyed the full day — from breakfast and the countryside drive to the thermal baths and lunch. Our drivers will be especially happy to hear your kind words about their hospitality and welcoming attitude. And thank you as well for sharing the helpful tip about the sulphur water — definitely great advice for future guests! 😊 We truly appreciate you joining us and hope to welcome you all again for another unforgettable adventure in Italy! 🇮🇹✨

Why this scores 63
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Saturnia Thermal Spring Small Group Day Trip from Rome with Lunch: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rome.
How much does Saturnia Thermal Spring Small Group Day Trip from Rome with Lunch cost?
+
Prices start at $300 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rome usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Saturnia Thermal Spring Small Group Day Trip from Rome with Lunch take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rome is not rushed.
Is Saturnia Thermal Spring Small Group Day Trip from Rome with Lunch worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 21 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rome, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Saturnia Thermal Spring Small Group Day Trip from Rome with Lunch?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Saturnia Thermal Spring Small Group Day Trip from Rome with Lunch suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Saturnia Thermal Spring Small Group Day Trip from Rome with Lunch?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rome can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rome and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Saturnia Thermal Spring Small Group Day Trip from Rome with Lunch start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rome within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Rome?
+
Rome runs on skip-the-line access. The Colosseum underground, the Vatican before opening, and the catacombs south of the walls all require a licensed operator, and the price gap between the good ones and the rest is smaller than you would expect. We rank by guide credentials, group size and how reliably the promised access actually materialises. On Outty we rank every Rome experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Rome Pasta and Tiramisu Class: Ravioli, Fettuccine & Fine Wine 5*, Pasta Making & Wine Tasting with Dinner in Frascati from Rome, Rome: Pizza & Tiramisu or Gelato Class with Flowing Fine Wine 5*. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Rome?
+
April, May, September and October. August is hot and half the city is shut. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Rome?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
