    There is no guide on...

There is no guide and nothing is explained to us. Every monument or excursion must be paid for each time, even though it is not expensive. Gjirokastër is a very beautiful, lively city. The Blue Eye is very beautiful but they don't drop us off in front of it, you have to pay for admission + to get there because otherwise it is 30 minutes under the sun.

    Highly recommend!

Great value for money and must see for Blue Eye and Gjirokaster. Aircon on the bus was a life saver and views between destinations were outstanding. Shout out to Nancy at the kiosk in Saranda, very friendly!

Disappointing service, but the sites were appreciable. Average cost.

Departure and arrival times and the duration of stops were respected. Everything else leaves much to be desired, especially the air conditioning blasting in the van, despite our request to lower it. The Italian-speaking guide in person, which we were assured of, does not exist, but they only make you download a short story on your phone that explains the sites. Overall, the service was disappointing compared to expectations, but many sites were appreciable, especially the Blue Eye and Agiirocastro, for a day trip within Albania starting from Saranda.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your review. First of all, it is explained in the description also that we do not work with a guide but with guidebooks in 5 different languages. Second, we cannot turn of the AC because you asked out of 20 people in the van but you could turn of your personal AC on top of your head as its an option on every van. Thank you very much!!!

    Would highly recommend

We used the excellent KMG Shuttles and Tours for the Culture Line day trip. Excellent value at €30 per person we were collected at 8:30am in Ksamil and returned around 5:00pm. We bought tickets from Kristi (co owner of KMG Tours) at the BIT Restaurant next to Bus Stop 1 in Ksamil. We were met by her husband Kristian on the morning and shared a car with two lovely German ladies and were provided with a QR code to download an excellent written guide - we preferred this to a normal guided tour as we could explore the stops at our own leisure. The driver was excellent and we felt very safe and secure. The stops were all very worthwhile and sufficient time was given at each to explore - in particular the highlights being the UNESCO town of Gjirokastra (a must see) and the stunning views of Saranda from Lekuresi Castle toward the end of the tour. The crystal clear waters of the Blue Eye were also very special and I would suggest if you can to walk the short 20 minutes from the entrance rather than take the transport available. A definite must do tour if staying in the area. Thank you KMG.

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
