What you'll see and do

  1. Butrint National Park

We start at Butrint National Park, Albania’s most iconic site, and the first to be listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. I’ve guided here for 15 years and even helped with excavations, getting to know this place well. We’ll begin at the Sanctuary of Asklepios, where ancient healing took place, and then move on to the Theater, Roman Baths, and the Gymnasium. After that, we’ll see the beautiful Baptistry mosaics and the Great Basilica. We’ll pass through the Monumental Gates and finish with stunning views from the Venetian Castle. There is no rush here, just a chance to truly feel the past. Relax, enjoy the stories, and connect with history along the way.

  2. Ksamil Beach

Ksamil- The Postcard Made Real We’ll take a 30-minute pause in Ksamil, just long enough to soak in the postcard beauty of this coastal gem. With its powder-white beaches, crystal-clear shallows, and the tiny green islands scattered just offshore, Ksamil feels almost too perfect to be real. It’s the kind of place where time slows down—you’ll have a chance to snap a few unforgettable photos, breathe in the salty breeze, and maybe dip your toes in the Ionian Sea. Even in a short stop, the magic of Ksamil leaves an impression

  3. The Blue Eye

The Blue Eye (Syri i Kaltër) is a natural wonder, a karstic spring with waters so clear and deep they seem to glow with every shade of blue and green imaginable. This is a place where the earth’s secrets bubble up to the surface, and the colors shift before your eyes, drawing you in like an artist’s brushstroke.

  4. Lekuresi Castle

Lekursi Castle stands proudly 250 meters above sea level, offering an unparalleled 360-degree view of the entire region around Saranda and the Ionian coast. From this hilltop fortress, you’ll have a sweeping panorama that stretches out over the sparkling waters, the hills, and the coastline. It’s not just about the castle—this vantage point gives you a chance to see it all: the Blue Eye, the ancient ruins of Butrint, and the shores of Ksamil, all from above. You’ll feel like you’re standing on top of the world, with the history of the region and the natural beauty laid out before you, ready to be absorbed. It’s the perfect way to wrap up your journey—taking in the whole picture, from the land to the sea, and everything in between.

Amazing tour!! Highly recommend.

I can’t say enough positive things about Gert and this experience. First I would like to mention how great his communication was. I messaged him right when I booked and had a few questions and he always took the time to answer me quickly. Second, he was incredibly kind and hospitable and I felt like I was with a life long friend. Third, he is extremely knowledgeable and makes the history so interesting. He answered all my questions, we chatted the entire way, listened to music and had a great time. Highly highly recommend taking a day and doing this tour!!! I wouldn’t have had such a memorable experience with anyone else. Thank you so much Gerti!

Tour guide was amazing,...

Tour guide was amazing, very knowledgeable of all the history and very interesting. Was quick to help where we needed it on some of the terrain. I don’t know what I expected of Albania but I was very impressed. Can’t recommend this tour and the guide enough

Definitely recommend this guide

We had a wonderful tour with Gert. I can’t imagine going to Butrint without the extensive information he gave. He guided us through the huge complex with so much background history and answered all our questions. If you love history and really want to understand what you are viewing, you need an experienced guide like Gert. Blue eye was a beautiful spot and we stopped for some amazing views. Overall it was a full day full of interesting conversation and we learned so much.

Saranda All Included: Butrint, Ksamil, Blue Eye & Lekuresi Castle: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Saranda.

How much does Saranda All Included: Butrint, Ksamil, Blue Eye & Lekuresi Castle cost?

+

Prices start at $59 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Saranda usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Saranda All Included: Butrint, Ksamil, Blue Eye & Lekuresi Castle take?

+

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Saranda is not rushed.

Is Saranda All Included: Butrint, Ksamil, Blue Eye & Lekuresi Castle worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Saranda, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Saranda All Included: Butrint, Ksamil, Blue Eye & Lekuresi Castle?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Saranda All Included: Butrint, Ksamil, Blue Eye & Lekuresi Castle suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Saranda All Included: Butrint, Ksamil, Blue Eye & Lekuresi Castle?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Saranda can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Saranda and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Saranda All Included: Butrint, Ksamil, Blue Eye & Lekuresi Castle start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Saranda within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Saranda?

+

On Outty we rank every Saranda experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sarandë: Small-Group Boat Tour with Swim Stops, Drinks & Parasols, Tour Gjirokaster,Blue Eye & Lekursi Castle, Saranda Boat Tour to Kakome,Hidden Cave and Beaches with Snorkell. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Saranda?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Saranda?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
