Great private tour

Fantastic service, we were picked up by a guide and a driver, both very friendly! We had a great private experience with all the history explained very well! The pyramids were great and they are much less a tourist selfie hot spot like the giza pyramids. Lunch was at a really nice restaurant! Very happy!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much Patrick for your great review! 🙏😊 We’re really happy you enjoyed your private Saqqara, Dahshur & Memphis tour and that both your guide and driver made you feel comfortable and welcome. Saqqara and Dahshur are truly special — incredible history, amazing pyramids, and much more peaceful than the busy Giza area (perfect for a more authentic experience!). 🏜️✨ We’re also glad you enjoyed the lunch at a nice restaurant. Thank you again, and we hope to see you back in Egypt soon! 🇪🇬🌟

The magnificent first Pyramids provide a less crowded but more intimate emersion into pyramid structure.

A variety of pyramids from the step to the bent and Red Pyramid, the model for Khufu is less crowded and offers the same insight into these majestic man-made structures. The guide was excellent and planned everything allowing us time to enter the Red Pyramid which is easier to get into crowd wise and has a similar architecture to Khufu. The step Pyramid, d'Ouserkaf, the Bent Pyramid and the other pyramids which can be seen such as the Black and Sekhmenhet were enjoyed as was the ancient capital remains of Memphis, Our tour was topped off with an excellent lunch of local cuisine. Allowing us time to walk around the pyramids helps to immerse you in the grandeur and power they provide

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for this thoughtful and detailed review! 🌟 We’re truly delighted that you enjoyed the Saqqara and Dahshur pyramids tour and appreciated the quieter, more immersive experience these historic sites offer compared to Giza. Exploring the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the Bent Pyramid, and entering the Red Pyramid is a unique journey into the evolution of pyramid architecture in ancient Egypt, and we’re glad the timing allowed you to enjoy it comfortably and without crowds. It’s wonderful to hear that the visit to Memphis and the local Egyptian lunch added to the richness of the day. Our goal is always to give guests enough time to walk, explore, and truly feel the power and grandeur of these incredible monuments. Thank you again for choosing us, and we hope to welcome you back soon for more unforgettable Egypt pyramid tours. 🇪🇬✨

A wonderful experience. An excellent guide.

Hammad was an excellent tour guide and a pleasure to meet. He was early for our pick up and provided an excellent vehicle and driver. I love Egyptology and I have been studying it for years… But I learned several new things from Hammad. He also allowed us to make slight modifications to our itinerary to better suit our needs. I would highly recommend this tour guide.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experience! We’re delighted to hear that Hammad made your visit to Saqqara and Dahshur memorable with his knowledge, flexibility, and warm hospitality. Our goal is always to provide comfortable travel and insightful guiding, and it means a lot to know we exceeded your expectations. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back soon to explore even more treasures of Egypt with us!

Saqqara Step Pyramid Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid in Dahshur: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cairo.

How much does Saqqara Step Pyramid Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid in Dahshur cost?

+

Prices start at $28 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cairo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Saqqara Step Pyramid Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid in Dahshur take?

+

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cairo is not rushed.

Is Saqqara Step Pyramid Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid in Dahshur worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cairo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Saqqara Step Pyramid Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid in Dahshur?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Saqqara Step Pyramid Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid in Dahshur suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 5. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 6-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Saqqara Step Pyramid Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid in Dahshur?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cairo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cairo and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Saqqara Step Pyramid Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid in Dahshur start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cairo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cairo?

+

On Outty we rank every Cairo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include All-in-One Giza Tour, inside Pyramid, sphinx, Camel ride & lunch, VIP Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx Tour –Inside the Pyramids&More, Best of Cairo Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and Grand Museum Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cairo?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cairo?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
