Moderate experience
The nature in Sapa is wonderful. However, we were followed by Sellers through the almost whole trekking. The tour guide was not helping with the situation and couldn’t explain the geography enough. The bus from Hanoi to Sapa was really uncomfortable, dirty and full. There was no air inside and took almost 8 hours. The Trekking itself was super muddy in the first day. We’ve sinked in the mud for hours and it was kinda dangerous to slip down the hills. An alternative could have been proposed. The organization could provide some boots for the tourists as an example. The meals were good, they offer vegan options as well but no water is included. The homestay was also good except very cold rooms.
Response from the operator: Dear Daniel, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the beautiful nature of Sapa, but we’re sorry to hear that some aspects of your experience didn’t meet expectations. We truly appreciate your comments regarding the sellers during the trek and the discomfort of the bus ride, and we will work to improve these areas to ensure future guests have a more comfortable experience. We also appreciate your suggestion about providing boots for the trek, and we will look into this for future tours to help guests navigate the muddy trails more safely. Regarding the cold rooms, we will review the accommodations and see how we can make them more comfortable. We do value your input, as it helps us improve, and we hope you’ll give us another opportunity to provide you with a better experience next time. Fantasea Trek Team

Beautiful hiking, lovely people, disorganized transport
The good: Sa Pa and the surrounding villages are beautiful. Quiet place to get out of the bustling city and enjoy the mountains and rice terraces. Our homestay hosts were kind and hospitable, providing delicious food after a solid day of trekking. We learned so much about the way of life of the different tribes in the area. Bring or rent rainboots -- it's VERY muddy! The bad: Transportation to/from Sa Pa was completely disorganized. I was told by one person from the tour company to meet the bus outside my hotel lobby, then another to meet at the tour office. I arrived at the office at 6am and the person there had no idea a bus was coming. On the way back to Hanoi, it was also unclear which bus we should get on and there was no list of stops on our tickets.
Response from the operator: Dear customer, Thank you for sharing your experience in Sa Pa! It's wonderful to hear that you enjoyed the beauty of the area, the peaceful surroundings, and the hospitality of your homestay hosts. It sounds like you had a memorable time learning about the different tribes and exploring the mountains and rice terraces. Your tip about bringing or renting rainboots is very helpful for future travelers! We're sorry to hear about the transportation issues you encountered. We understand how frustrating it can be when things are disorganized. Your feedback is valuable, and we will make sure to address this with the tour company to improve the overall experience for future guests. We appreciate you taking the time to share both the positives and negatives of your trip. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, feel free to let us know. Fantasea Trek Team

Why this scores 52
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Sapa Trekking 3 Days 2 Nights (Homestay) - Departure From Hanoi: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.
How much does Sapa Trekking 3 Days 2 Nights (Homestay) - Departure From Hanoi cost?
+
Prices start at $2500000 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Sapa Trekking 3 Days 2 Nights (Homestay) - Departure From Hanoi take?
+
Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.
Is Sapa Trekking 3 Days 2 Nights (Homestay) - Departure From Hanoi worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Sapa Trekking 3 Days 2 Nights (Homestay) - Departure From Hanoi?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Sapa Trekking 3 Days 2 Nights (Homestay) - Departure From Hanoi suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 15. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 72-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Sapa Trekking 3 Days 2 Nights (Homestay) - Departure From Hanoi?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Sapa Trekking 3 Days 2 Nights (Homestay) - Departure From Hanoi start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hanoi?
+
On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi with Tam Coc or Trang An & Mua Cave, Ha Giang Loop Tour 4 Days 3 Nights with Ha Giang Vision Tour, Halong Bay Day Tour With Titop Island, Cave, Kayak & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hanoi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hanoi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
