    3. Artemis Karamolegos Winery

The second winery, Artemis Karamolegos, is one of the most dynamic wineries in Santorini. Inspired by his grandfather, who took up winemaking and viticulture as a hobby in the 1950s, Artemis founded his winery in 2004, growing it to become the third largest winery by volume on Aegean island. They own just over 3 hectares of vineyards (some over 100 years old) in Pyrgos, Megalorchori, Exo Gonia, Akrotiri, and Fira and have long-term contracts to cultivate another 5 hectares. They specialize in Assyrtiko, with various wines and styles, including numerous vine wines with serious vines (over 150 years old). The progressive and well-traveled Artemis and the talented young winemaker Lefteris Anagnostou have released the first orange wine from Santorini and are experimenting with their custom cement tanks. The winery has become a destination, opening the popular Aroma Avlis Food & Wine restaurant and offering cooking classes.

    4. Perivolos Beach

Our guests can taste Santorini wines and Greek dishes, Cycladic cheeses, and traditional food at the local taverna during the tour. The tour aims to introduce guests to Greek cuisine in a fun and informative manner from a regional point of view, presenting not only the flavors and ingredients of Mediterranean cooking but also the beauty of Santorini as a world-renowned destination. From fava (the island's famous split pea puree) to tomato keftedes (to you and me), we've hunted down the best local dishes to try on the crescent-shaped, volcano-molded Cycladic island. Once you've mastered the local pronunciation, don't forget to order a glass (or two) of assyrtiko wine, a local variety.

A Taste of Santorini Worth Remembering.

Finding this quiet restaurant while exploring Santorini was a wonderful surprise. 🍽️ The food was beautifully prepared and each dish had its own distinct flavour. The wine pairings were carefully selected and complemented the meal very well. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the quality of the cooking without feeling rushed. It was a memorable food experience with delicious dishes and excellent wine. A lovely choice for anyone wanting to enjoy authentic flavours during a visit to Santorini.

Response from the operator: Dear Eliot, You are the best! Thanks a lot for your wonderful review.

    honest food and wine loop.

If you want a real taste of the island's agricultural side, this run by Top Santorini Tours is worth it. They sorted the transport pickup without any delays. The host walked us through the unique vine basket weaving method before the tasting started. The food plates weren't just tiny samples; they were actual traditional pairings that matched the volcanic wines beautifully. Glad we bypassed the generic commercial spots for this.

Response from the operator: Dear Jason, Thanks a lot for the great review. You are the best!

Great Tasting and food experience in Santorini!

We spent a few hours with Maria as she took us to two fantastic wineries, and a beautiful lunch while exploring many parts of Santorini and learning about the history and culture of the wineries completed with a picture view at the top of the mountain. It was a great experience. Maria‘s knowledge of the area and Wine was definitely an added plus. We would absolutely recommend booking directly with top Santorini wine tours, instead of versus other sites

    Worth every dime!

Even though we didn't get to visit all three wineries due to time I had a great time! The tour guide and driver were a dynamic duo. They arrived early to pick us up and had a wealth of knowledge about the area. The wineries were beautiful. We were able to take in some breathtaking scenery and take lots of photos. The dinner was very delicious as well!

    Wine and Food tour

We liked the tour overall. This included visit to two wineries and a sampling of nine wines. This was followed by a three course meal at the restaurant in the second winery. The hosts at the wineries were knowledgeable about the wines. We had kids 7-10 years old in our group. Unfortunately, there was no accommodation provided for the kids in form of juice/ non alcoholic beverages. That might be the only suggested addition from our side. That being said, there are not many tours that allow children. So overall, we are pretty happy with the tour. The tomato salad was absolutely delicious. The entree was so-so and the desserts were very good as well. will definitely do it again, if opportunity presented itself.

Santorini Wine and Food Experience with pick up included: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Santorini.

How much does Santorini Wine and Food Experience with pick up included cost?

    +

Prices start at $79 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Santorini usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Santorini Wine and Food Experience with pick up included take?

    +

Plan for about 4.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Santorini is not rushed.

Is Santorini Wine and Food Experience with pick up included worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Santorini, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Santorini Wine and Food Experience with pick up included?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Santorini Wine and Food Experience with pick up included suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Santorini Wine and Food Experience with pick up included?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Santorini can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Santorini and add a light layer if any part of the 4.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Santorini Wine and Food Experience with pick up included start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Santorini within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Santorini?

    +

On Outty we rank every Santorini experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half Day Premium Catamaran Cruise in Santorini including Oia, Private Santorini Tailor Made - Choice of the Guest!, Private Classic Santorini Panorama: Visit Top Destinations. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Santorini?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Santorini?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
