Amazing Santorini experience!!!
We had an amazing experience with Emmanouel Zaranis!!! The first and the last wineries were best and it would be better if they left out the middle one, the wine museum, as it was far less personal than the other two!! Add a bit of beach time to which Emmanouel brought us and it would be perfect!!!!! Much appreciated!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Friendly, punctual, reliable, competitive rates
For me, this was the best way to experience Santorini! Arvanitis Leyteris or "Lays," my driver, let me design my day and destinations as needed. He was very punctual, flexible and relaxed, and would work with whatever I wanted to see. He made suggestions as a local expert, and I appreciated this, but he was understanding if I didn't want to visit the suggested sites. I wanted to go the Ancient Akrotiri digs in the south of the island and Oia in the north of the island. He picked me up from my hotel in Fira at 8:30 am and dropped me off at Akrotiri. He suggested how long most people visit the site and we planned a rendez-vous time and place for pick-up. Then I wanted to go to Oia. Again the same. He suggested some other places to visit, but was relaxed and open to whatever I wanted to do. In the end, I had my "private" chauffeur for several hours. His rates are reasonable and fair. He charges set prices for pre-designed tours or by the hour. I paid by the hour, but this is a flexible concept. He drives a Mercedes mini van so there is plenty of space for your group. What is best, it that you can design your own tour, if you want to, or choose a pre-designed plan - and best of all, it's private. Lays is a local and so he knows where to go and what to see. You feel like you're in good hands with him; and his wife Mary is also very helpful and nice - these are really good people! He is also available for "transfers" from hotel to port or airport or other short trips for a set fee. I hired him for a short trip from the port to my hotel. His rate was less expensive than the hotel suggested service. Before meeting Lays, I had signed up for the hotel ride from my hotel to the airport, but the driver didn't show up, so I called Lays and he was at my hotel in less than 20 minutes to take me to the airport. Around Travel is friendly local people at reasonable rates with an insiders point of view. I look forward to working working with Lays and Mary for my next trip.

Santorini by car.
If you are short on time and want to see all of Santorini's landscape book with Around Travel and you will go from one end of the island to the other. Trifonas was great about his plan for us for the day based on our requests, he had all the best vistas scouted out and we even got to include a quiet wine tasting and a lunch. This is great for 4-6 people.

Wonderful tour of a beautiful city
We had a wonderful time in Santorini touring with our driver Trifonas. He was a great driver and had a lot of great information for is along the way. We highly recommend this tour if you are coming off the cruise ship and have limited time to see everything. It was exactly what we wanted.

Why this scores 65
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Santorini Private Wine Tour with Local Wineries & Tastings: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Santorini.
How much does Santorini Private Wine Tour with Local Wineries & Tastings cost?
+
Prices start at $85 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Santorini usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Santorini Private Wine Tour with Local Wineries & Tastings take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Santorini is not rushed.
Is Santorini Private Wine Tour with Local Wineries & Tastings worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Santorini, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Santorini Private Wine Tour with Local Wineries & Tastings?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Santorini Private Wine Tour with Local Wineries & Tastings suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Santorini Private Wine Tour with Local Wineries & Tastings?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Santorini can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Santorini and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Santorini Private Wine Tour with Local Wineries & Tastings start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Santorini within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Santorini?
+
On Outty we rank every Santorini experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half Day Premium Catamaran Cruise in Santorini including Oia, Private Santorini Tailor Made - Choice of the Guest!, Private Classic Santorini Panorama: Visit Top Destinations. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Santorini?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Santorini?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
