12/10 experience with Ares.
Ares was our tour guide and he was phenomenal. Very knowledgeable of the island and was very easy to talk to. We didn’t feel rushed and the day flew by. We got to see areas of the island we would have absolutely missed if we didn’t take the tour. The sunset wine tasting was out of this world. The views were insane. Highly recommend if you’re on the fence on what to do.
Response from the operator: Dear Ryan, A 12/10 review deserves a 12/10 thank you! We’re so glad Ares made the day feel relaxed, personal and full of discoveries you wouldn’t have found on your own. And hearing that you loved the sunset wine tasting and the views makes this especially rewarding. Thank you for recommending us! Best regards, Santorini Island Tour Team

An unmissable experience
We had a wonderful evening. Xenofon was really knowledgeable and the Santos Winery is a superb location with wines to match. Santorini wines are so unique and special in the way that they grow and taste. I would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone visiting the Island.
Response from the operator: Dear Barbara, Santorini wines are genuinely unlike anything else — the volcanic soil, the basket vines, the way the grapes survive here. Xenofon knows how to bring that story to life in a way that makes the tasting mean something more. Glad the evening was worthwhile. Best regards, Santorini Island Tour Team

Superb and Sunset.
Ares was a wonderful Tour Guide He seems to truly love Santorini and sharing why, with others. We were picked up on time, began the tour and he took the time to explain things that were interesting to us. At times, he asked us what was important and what we would like to focus upon, with great results. Wish we had more time in Santorini. The tour ended with delicious wine and a perfectly curated sunset. Ares also has beautiful artwork so we were fortunate to see Santorini through an artistic vision.
Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you for this. Ares's passion for Santorini is genuine — and it shows in the way he guides: curious about what matters to each group, never just running through a script. Seeing the island through an artistic eye is something not many guides can offer. We're glad the evening ended on the right note. Hope to welcome you back with more time to spare. Best regards, Santorini Island Tour Team

Why this scores 73

Santorini Private Tour with Sunset Wine Tasting at Santo Wines: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Santorini.
How much does Santorini Private Tour with Sunset Wine Tasting at Santo Wines cost?
+
Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Santorini usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Santorini Private Tour with Sunset Wine Tasting at Santo Wines take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Santorini is not rushed.
Is Santorini Private Tour with Sunset Wine Tasting at Santo Wines worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Santorini, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Santorini Private Tour with Sunset Wine Tasting at Santo Wines?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Santorini Private Tour with Sunset Wine Tasting at Santo Wines suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Santorini Private Tour with Sunset Wine Tasting at Santo Wines?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Santorini can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Santorini and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Santorini Private Tour with Sunset Wine Tasting at Santo Wines start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Santorini within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Santorini?
+
On Outty we rank every Santorini experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half Day Premium Catamaran Cruise in Santorini including Oia, Private Santorini Tailor Made - Choice of the Guest!, Private Classic Santorini Panorama: Visit Top Destinations. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Santorini?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Santorini?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
