Monastery of Profitis Ilias
Profitis Ilias (30 minutes)The highest spot of the island (567 meters) is located between Pyrgos and Kamari. The Mountain's name is Profitis Ilias (Prophet Elijah), coming from the Monastery with the same name on its peak. From this vantage point, you will enjoy a striking view of the entire island, from the patchwork agricultural plains to the hilltop village of Oia.

Pyrgos
Pyrgos casteli. Pyrgos was built on the top of a hill and was until the early 1800, the capital of the island. The village is composed of traditional houses built around the Venetian Castle and the small streets follow the shape of the hill. Climbing from the square up to the castle of Pyrgos, the stone houses crowd more densely together and the labyrinth of narrow vaulted lanes becomes more tortuous. The village has many churches, around 33, but the most famous is the Monastery of Profitis Ilias, where a small collection of ethnographic material and old icons are exhibits. Pyrgos is a place that certainly worth a visit and dedicate enough time to the most fabulous panoramic view of the island.

Megalochori - Traditional Village
• Megalochori traditional village (45 minutes) with its typical traditional Cycladic houses and neoclassic buildings. It is located between Pyrgos, Emporio and Akrotiri at a distance of less than 10 km from Fira. It is made of hundreds of small white painted houses built the one upon the other and it is characterized by its beautiful churches. It combines traditional architecture with vaulted houses and calderimia (stone-cobbled narrow pathways) and a lively community with a fairly large permanent population

Roadtales made our visit to Santorini a trip to remember!
I have a travel business just for small groups of women. We spent 10 days in Greece and I chose Roadtales as our tour guide while on Santorini. Aris was extremely helpful even as I was planning the trip! Communication was excellent. Once we arrived on the island he took very good care of us. He gave wonderful suggestions on where to go and where to eat. He showed us the beauty of the island and talked about the culture and history. We stayed in touch using WhatsApp the whole time we were there. It was truly like having a friend in Santorini. I can’t say enough good things about Aris and his drivers. I highly recommend them!

Amazing tour!!
I traveled with a group from Kindred Women Travel. Our tour guide, Aris, was an amazing source of information for Santorini. He showed us spectacular views of the island while avoiding crowds and provided historical backgrounds to what we were seeing. He also adjusted our tour to accommodate special requests and help us make reservations at local restaurants. Highly recommend!

Amazing Experience
We had an amazing experience with Aris! He is incredibly nice, attentive, and flexible with our group's needs. Instead of rushing through a script, he took his time and were so accommodating, ensuring we saw all the most interesting sites at our own pace. Highly recommend!

A once in a lifetime experience in Santorini
Our private tour with our guide Aris was exceptional, truly a five star experience from start to finish. Aris was knowledgeable, warm, and attentive, making us feel completely at ease, while ensuring we experience the best that Santorini has to offer. Throughout the day Aris seamlessly took us to Santorini's many iconic sites including Akrotiri where he arranged for us to have an archeologist guide us through history. We visited many beautiful places all tailored to our interests that included Oia, Emporia, and Megalochori. We also visited a beautiful family owned winery and had a lovely dinner over looking the sea in Oia. Aris made sure to pick the perfect restaurant since it was my husband's birthday . We highly recommend you request Aris as your tour guide when visiting Santorini

Why this scores 67
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Santorini Private Tour Highlights 6h for Groups and Families: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Santorini.
How much does Santorini Private Tour Highlights 6h for Groups and Families cost?
+
Prices start at $490 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Santorini usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Santorini Private Tour Highlights 6h for Groups and Families take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Santorini is not rushed.
Is Santorini Private Tour Highlights 6h for Groups and Families worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 41 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Santorini, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Santorini Private Tour Highlights 6h for Groups and Families?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Santorini Private Tour Highlights 6h for Groups and Families suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Santorini Private Tour Highlights 6h for Groups and Families?
+
Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Santorini can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Santorini and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Santorini Private Tour Highlights 6h for Groups and Families start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Santorini within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Santorini?
+
On Outty we rank every Santorini experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half Day Premium Catamaran Cruise in Santorini including Oia, Private Santorini Tailor Made - Choice of the Guest!, Private Classic Santorini Panorama: Visit Top Destinations. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Santorini?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Santorini?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
