Worst experience, took our money and no tour
Our party visited Santorini on a cruise in October. We had a member of our party that has a medical condition hence we researched and selected the boat tour with JAT. When we docked, we along with everyone else were 15 mins late because of the issues with disembarcation off the cruise ship. We arrived at the noted meeting point along with other tour members and there was no JAT representative present. I kept searching and finally found the JAT operator wandering amongst the crowd rather than standing at the meeting point. The representative then advised the boat tour we booked was cancelled and we now needed to use the cable car option. We explained we had a disabled person in our party which was why we chose the boat and that we were unable to accept the cable car option because of the medical condition one of our members has. Note we previously did the research and only booked the tour because we knew we could not utilise the cable car option. The tour was subsequently cancelled, care factor from JAT was nil and they refused to refund the $900 odd dollar fee we had paid weeks before. Engage with JAT at your own risk but communication was non existent, and we received no tour or services but they would not refund our money. Extremely dodgy company and would not recommend for anyone to book a tour with them. They should have refunded our money based on the fact they could not provide the service we purchased.
Response from the operator: We regret to hear about your disappointment. Please allow us to address the concerns raised: 1. Please note that yours was the only complaint received from the entire group — all other participants arrived on time and joined the tour without any issues. 2. When the majority of guests are already ashore, they understandably do not wish to spend their limited time waiting for late arrivals. That’s why our shared tours depart promptly as scheduled. To enjoy greater flexibility, we always recommend booking a private tour instead. 3. Our representative clearly explained that the boat departed on time and that the sky tram was the only remaining option to access the island once the tour had begun. 4. Based on these facts, your refund request has been respectfully declined in full accordance with Viator’s 24-hour cancellation policy. 5. For future bookings, we strongly encourage you to follow the timing provided in your confirmation — it’s a useful habit not only for tours but also for flights, cruises, and other scheduled services, none of which wait or refund for late arrivals. Safe travels and fair winds

A stressful but informative tour
Our Santorini tour guide, George was wonderful. If you had no time requirements, this is a great tour. However it was chaos when we got up to the top. we waited for about 40 minutes for the tour company to show up. We waited another 20 minutes so they could figure out who was in what group. Some of us had paid for 5 hours, some for 3 hours but they took us altogether. Because they started an hour late, they wanted to make it up to us. By the time they ended the tour, the only way down was to walk down to catch our ship.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind words about our guide. To avoid chaos we strongly recommend to pay more attention with exact pickup time communicated to you 48 hours in advance tour start time. As well we highly recommend reading Meeting and Pickup section of this tour description more attentively. It states that the tour start time mentioned in your tour ticket may vary from the actual time communicated to you in advance. Safe travels!

Why this scores 63
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Santorini Delight: Mini-Group Tour for Cruise Passengers: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Santorini.
How much does Santorini Delight: Mini-Group Tour for Cruise Passengers cost?
+
Prices start at $65 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Santorini usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Santorini Delight: Mini-Group Tour for Cruise Passengers take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Santorini is not rushed.
Is Santorini Delight: Mini-Group Tour for Cruise Passengers worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 27 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Santorini, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Santorini Delight: Mini-Group Tour for Cruise Passengers?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Santorini Delight: Mini-Group Tour for Cruise Passengers suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Santorini Delight: Mini-Group Tour for Cruise Passengers?
+
Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Santorini can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Santorini and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Santorini Delight: Mini-Group Tour for Cruise Passengers start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Santorini within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Santorini?
+
On Outty we rank every Santorini experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half Day Premium Catamaran Cruise in Santorini including Oia, Private Santorini Tailor Made - Choice of the Guest!, Private Classic Santorini Panorama: Visit Top Destinations. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Santorini?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Santorini?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
