Everything we wanted. A great experience.
We had a great time on our tour, led by Conrado. We got to see so many interesting sights, Venice Beach, Venice Canals, Santa Monica Beach and Pier as well as important landmarks on the way. We enjoyed hearing the history of the area and its culture as well as discovering locations for movies that we love. We strongly recommend this tour. Conrado was a fantastic guide who took time to consider what we wanted from the tour and made it fun!🤩
Response from the operator: We're so glad Conrado helped make your tour such a memorable experience. It's wonderful to hear you enjoyed exploring the beaches, canals, local history, and movie locations, and we'll be sure to share your kind words with him. We appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you again, whether here or at one of our other locations.

A nice ride with some history to boot.
The bike tour was fun and the guide, Jesse, knew all about the history of the beaches and the places we passed. There is the bar where Jim Morrison got his start. There are the canals that Abbott Kinney built. There is the Inkwell beach area where Nick Gabaldon learned to surf. There are the boys at Muscle Beach who posed when they saw my camera. My ride started on a cloudy morning and ended on a sunny afternoon along Santa Monica Pier. There were opportunities to stop and admire views, or get something to eat or drink. The vendor, Unlimited Biking LA, provided helmets, and adjusted the bike seat to accommodate my long legs. It's an easy ride, mostly on paved paths along the shore, with a little street-riding. But there are a few hills, and slippery sand covers a few spots along the route, so I don't recommend it for someone's first experience on a bike. Definitely worth the price.

My daughter and I had an amazing time on the Santa Monica & Venice Beach Bike Tour! This was definitely one of the highlights of our Los Angeles trip. The guides were friendly, informative, and made the experience fun from start to finish. They took plenty of photos for us, which allowed us to enjoy the tour without worrying about capturing every moment ourselves. We had lots of opportunities to stop, explore, and take pictures at some of the area’s most iconic locations, including Santa Monica Pier, Santa Monica Beach, Venice Beach, the Venice Canals, and Muscle Beach. The pace was perfect, and we never felt rushed. If you’re looking for a great way to see Santa Monica and Venice while learning about the area and enjoying beautiful scenery, I highly recommend this tour. It was a fantastic experience and one of the best parts of our trip!

Why this scores 74
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Santa Monica and Venice Beach 3-Hour Bike Guided Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Santa Monica.
How much does Santa Monica and Venice Beach 3-Hour Bike Guided Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $72 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Santa Monica usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Santa Monica and Venice Beach 3-Hour Bike Guided Tour take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Santa Monica is not rushed.
Is Santa Monica and Venice Beach 3-Hour Bike Guided Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 27 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Santa Monica, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Santa Monica and Venice Beach 3-Hour Bike Guided Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Santa Monica and Venice Beach 3-Hour Bike Guided Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Santa Monica and Venice Beach 3-Hour Bike Guided Tour?
+
Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Santa Monica can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Santa Monica and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Santa Monica and Venice Beach 3-Hour Bike Guided Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Santa Monica within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Santa Monica?
+
Santa Monica is where most LA coast tours start: beach bike and e-bike rides to Venice, surf lessons, food walks on Third Street and open-top runs up Pacific Coast Highway. On Outty we rank every Santa Monica experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best of Los Angeles Guided City Tour with 4 Stops and Free Time, Half Day Best of Los Angeles City Tour from Santa Monica, Hollywood, Beverly Hills & Celebrity Homes Tour by Open Air Bus. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Santa Monica?
+
March to May and September to November, dodging the June marine layer. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Santa Monica?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
