Great overview of Santa Cruz history
Matt was very knowledgeable about the people who were important starting Santa Cruz. He also showed us photos of the same buildings from 100-200 years ago. It was informative and he kept my attention. He shared details about several Victorian homes regarding who built them and why they were important to the city. If you like walking tours as a way to get to know a city, this is for you! Thanks Matt for a great tour.

Perfect way to relax and learn with a great host
Matt is engaging and informative, but he doesn’t pontificate or try to dominate his walks, which is what makes them great. He is gracious and allows conversation to flow naturally with the stops, letting people relax and take in the scenery without forcefully corralling them around or sticking strictly to an itinerary, like other tours I have experienced. You can tell how knowledgeable Matt is by how little he double-checks his notes while speaking: he has it memorized, confidently, like a tried-and-true local would. His tours are relaxed, entertaining, enlightening, and highly recommended for anyone seeking a bigger, more flavorful slice of Santa Cruz history.
Response from the operator: Thank you Sophia for your kind review. It was a pleasure walking with your group!

How many days do you need in Santa Cruz?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
