    Fascinating ghost tour

The trip was filled with wonderful anecdotes and bits of history by the extremely knowledgeable guide, Ann. My only critique is that we were not properly advised in advance that it was a walking tour and several people in my party had mobilityissues.

Response from the operator: Hello Dennis, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're delighted to hear Ann's knowledge and storytelling made the tour enjoyable and brought the history to life. We'll be sure to pass along your kind words to her! We also appreciate your feedback regarding the walking nature of the tour. We're sorry that this wasn't made clear enough beforehand, especially since it affected members of your group with mobility concerns. Your comments are valuable, and we'll share them with our team as we continue working to improve our guest experience. Thank you again, and we hope to welcome you back for another adventure in the future!

    Dark History tour

It’s more of a historical tour with some dark facts about Santa Barbara. But still a fun time! I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in the local area

    Lacking Professionalism & Safety Concerns

Giving 3 stars only because our teenage daughter enjoyed this tour. The tour was just ok. It began with a very unprofessional list of “rules” that I would’ve thought were a bad joke but our guide insisted they had all happened before. The rules she gave us were “no french kissing dogs we pass”, “no pushing people into the street”, “no hitting on trees”, etc. Our guide didn’t seem confident in her own knowledge of some stories she was sharing. It seemed like she might’ve been making things up at times. At the end of our tour she abruptly told us that our tour was over and the other 2 gentlemen would continue on with her as they had purchased the extended tour. Literally left us standing in the dark streets of a town we are not familiar with, 15-20 walk away from our car. She did ask if she could “point us toward” State street, but that is not where we parked or met her for the tour. There was no information given prior to the tour that we would not all return back to the origin of the tour together. Further, after she left us, she was alone with 2 male strangers in the dark streets of Santa Barbara. Does this company not care about the safety of their employees and customers? Why do they not send guides in pairs? The 2 men on our tour seemed nice but it is appalling that any guide is sent out alone.

Response from the operator: Hello Cissie, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear your daughter enjoyed the tour, but we’re sorry the overall experience did not meet your expectations. It’s unfortunate to hear your concerns about the tour presentation, communication regarding the extended tour, and the safety of both guests and our guide. We take feedback like this seriously, and this is not up to our normal standards. Please reach out to guestrelations@usghostadventures.com with your booking information so our team can review your experience and assist you directly. Thank you.

    Disappointing

We had Thomas as a tour guide, and it was a very low effort tour. We saw five locations and there wasn’t much talking about ghosts or hauntings. It was a lot of slow walking to fill in the time gap of a hour. The tour ended at our last location and did not circle back to the original meeting point.

Response from the operator: Hello, thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear the tour did not meet your expectations. It’s unfortunate to hear you were hoping for more ghost stories and a more engaging experience, and that the tour route and ending location left you disappointed. This is not up to our normal standards, and we appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention. Please reach out to guestrelations@usghostadventures.com with your booking information so our team can review your experience and assist you directly. Thank you.

    Fun and Spooky

Had fun! Very entertaining and informative. Be careful where you walk, the sidewalks can be a little treacherous at night.

Response from the operator: Hello Evelyn, thank you for your kind review! We're so glad you had a fun time and enjoyed the entertaining stories and fascinating history. We also appreciate you sharing the helpful tip about the sidewalks, it's always a good reminder for guests to watch their step during evening tours. Thanks again for joining us, and we hope to see you back for another haunted adventure soon!

Sanctum Sacrifice of Santa Barbara Ghost Tours: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Santa Barbara.

How much does Sanctum Sacrifice of Santa Barbara Ghost Tours cost?

    +

Prices start at $26 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Santa Barbara usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Sanctum Sacrifice of Santa Barbara Ghost Tours take?

    +

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Santa Barbara is not rushed.

Is Sanctum Sacrifice of Santa Barbara Ghost Tours worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 45 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Santa Barbara, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Sanctum Sacrifice of Santa Barbara Ghost Tours?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Sanctum Sacrifice of Santa Barbara Ghost Tours suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Sanctum Sacrifice of Santa Barbara Ghost Tours?

    +

Around 16 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Santa Barbara can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Santa Barbara and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Sanctum Sacrifice of Santa Barbara Ghost Tours start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Santa Barbara within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Santa Barbara?

    +

Santa Barbara runs wine tours into the Santa Ynez Valley, harbour sailing and whale watching, Channel Islands day trips, and Spanish colonial walking tours through the Presidio and Mission. Tasting-room access and group size make the biggest difference in wine tours here. On Outty we rank every Santa Barbara experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Santa Barbara Electric Bike Tour, Kayak Tour of Santa Barbara with Experienced Guide, Small-Group Wine Tour in Santa Barbara to Exclusive Vineyards. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Santa Barbara?

    +

March to June and September to November, dodging the May and June marine layer. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Santa Barbara?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
