San Gimignano downpour didn’t hamper our tour with Simon!

Rainy and blustery weather but Simon turned a dreary wet day into a memorable and informative tour! Even though there were times that the sky opened up with a torrential downpour, Simon’s demeanor and disposition overshadowed the weather and we thoroughly enjoyed the winery and tasting experience, slogging through San Gimignano, and our lunch at the home of a fantastic chef!

Response from the operator: Ciao Jeff, thanks for your kind review and for the memorable day spent together! A presto, Simone

Wonderful guide, wonderful wine, wonderful tour!

We chose the Vernaccia and Saffron in San Gimignano tour based on my wife's love of white wine and after careful comparison of itineraries and reviews of tours from Florence. All that research paid off: Tommy is an outstanding, attentive & and informative guide with perfect English and extensive local knowledge. Both wineries we visited were beautiful and produced excellent wines, and our lunch was excellent (and I'm not a huge fan of saffron). San Gimignano is a gorgeous and fascinating town (be sure to visit the Dondoli Gelateria -- probably the best gelato we've ever had). We highly recommend touring with DeGustibus, and we will definitely be taking another tour with them on our next visit to Florence!

Response from the operator: Hi David, Thanks for your kind review! But next time I’ll bring to my favourite gelateria in Florence… Tommy

A wonderful and insightful way to discover the deeper aspects of the Tuscan region

The first tour was so interesting and fun, with a wonderful insight of the Tuscan people love and pride of the land and its produce, amazing wine tasting and food, that we had to book a second tour of beautiful Siena and San Gimignano within the week. Again, we were not disappointed. Gilberto is an exceptional person, friendly and pleasant to spend time with, reliable and communicative, with a deep love and knowledge of Florence and Tuscany. He is our go-to man in Florence and comes highly recommended. Thank you De Gustibus, we have made experiences and memories of a lifetime!

Response from the operator: Ciao "Antoanto101"! Thanks for being with us not once, but TWICE!!! Next time ready for a vintage sidecar experience? ;-) Gilberto & Tommy

Best Birthday Ever with De GustibusTours!

Our private, full day tour with Gilberto was absolutely amazing. It was the true highlight of our visit to Florence/Tuscany as well as an extraordinary way to celebrate a birthday! Gilberto was informative, interesting, kind and funny. Each stop of our Tuscany Tour was delicious and visually captivating. The opportunity to visit a small, family run vineyard and a saffron farm was a unique and a rare opportunity to talk with local producers as well as taste extraordinary saffron dishes and fine wines. I highly recommend a tour with De Gustibus!! The communication, service and trip were ECCELLENTE!

Response from the operator: Ciao Guys, Thanks a lot for kind words. Next time vintage sidecar tour! Gilberto

San Gimignano, Saffron and Vernaccia Wine from Florence: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Florence.

How much does San Gimignano, Saffron and Vernaccia Wine from Florence cost?

    +

Prices start at $189 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Florence usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does San Gimignano, Saffron and Vernaccia Wine from Florence take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Florence is not rushed.

Is San Gimignano, Saffron and Vernaccia Wine from Florence worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Florence, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule San Gimignano, Saffron and Vernaccia Wine from Florence?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is San Gimignano, Saffron and Vernaccia Wine from Florence suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book San Gimignano, Saffron and Vernaccia Wine from Florence?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Florence can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Florence and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does San Gimignano, Saffron and Vernaccia Wine from Florence start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Florence within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Florence?

    +

On Outty we rank every Florence experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Best tour in Florence: Renaissance & Medici Tales - guided by a STORYTELLER, Florence Pizza or Pasta Class & Gelato Making at a Tuscan Farm, Small group Tuscan Wineries, Olive Oil & Gourmet Lunch or Dinner. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Florence?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Florence?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
