Fantastic San Antonio Experience — History, Dining & River Walk
We had a wonderful experience on this tour! I originally thought we’d be part of a group, but it ended up being a private tour for just my daughter and me, which made it feel even more special. Our guide, Rene, picked us up right on time and was warm, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable throughout the evening. We started with the Tower of the Americas, where we enjoyed spectacular views of San Antonio, followed by a driving tour of important landmarks and fascinating local history. Dinner at Biga on the Banks along the River Walk was absolutely delicious. We also visited the historic Pearl and the beautiful Hotel Emma, both rich with character and history. Stops at the The Alamo and the historic Emily Morgan Hotel—known as one of San Antonio’s most haunted spots—made the tour even more memorable. We finished the evening with a relaxing boat ride along the San Antonio River Walk. A truly delightful experience from beginning to end. Highly recommend!”
Response from the operator: What a special evening, especially getting that private experience with your daughter. From the Tower views to dinner at Biga and the River Walk cruise, it sounds like the perfect mix of history, atmosphere, and great food.

Great tour
We had a great tour that took us to the tower of the Americas (15min appr.), Paesano's on the riverwalk (around an hour and half), a very short walk on the riverwalk with a boat tour on the river (30 min), and a short tour of downtown. I feel that the construction downtown made our tour a bit shorter than normal. Rene, our driver, did a great job and we felt safe the entire time. He was very informative as well. Overall it was a nice tour and we were in a very nice Mercedes van that was comfortable. Now the bad, the tour that we booked on viator was not the same that was given. This was explained as viator had changed the tour but not updated the app info accordingly. On the original description, we were to see the Alamo and Pearl district as well as the aforementioned sights, we did not. This was not the drivers fault, it was viators. Also, the time listed as pick up was incorrect and the driver was there to pick us up 45 min early. Again, viators fault. We did have issues at the restaurant but they were quickly dealt with and the meal and experience was great! It was valentines day and they only had a special menu you could order off of and they were packed. Overall, the tour was great. We were picked up at our hotel and dropped off after. Rene was very professional and kept us safe. We would recommend this tour, but, verify with the tour operator all the details beforehand!
Response from the operator: We’re really pleased to hear that Rene made you feel safe, informed, and comfortable throughout the day. At the same time, we sincerely apologize for the confusion regarding the itinerary and pickup time.We truly appreciate your understanding that this was not Rene’s fault, and we’re glad the restaurant issue was resolved quickly despite the busy Valentine’s Day setting. Thank you as well for the helpful advice to future guests to confirm details directly

Disappointed.
The tour operator called us to say he would be picking us up early because we needed to get to Tower of America before our 7:15 reservation for dinner. Good thing because we would of never made it. The tour guide seemed very rushed and we did not get the hour promised at the tower. We could barely here his conversation as he drove us through the City. After dinner we got picked up and someone inquired about The Pearl....He said "Oh yeah, I guess we can stop there." It was included as part of the experience. We were there maybe 15 mins...then left to go to the River Walk Boat Tour. We got there just before 9:30 and they were closed due to weather. Typically they close at 10 but we were never informed that they were shutting early. We ended up having to get the tickets and go the next day.
Response from the operator: We’re truly sorry for the frustration and disappointment you experienced during your tour. We understand how upsetting it is when the day feels rushed and key parts of the experience don’t unfold as promised. We’re glad you were able to use the boat tickets the following day, but we know that doesn’t fully make up for the disruption to your original plans. If you haven’t already, please feel free to reach out to us directly or through your booking platform so our team can review your experience further and see how we can help.

Best way to see San Antonio! Alfred, our guide, was fun and passionate about the city. We rode in a luxurious Mercedes van!
Alfred was the best tour guide! The itinerary covered the must see attractions and a fabulous dinner at Biga. Highly recommend!
Response from the operator: So glad to hear this. It’s great that Alfred made the tour special and that the itinerary hit all the must-see spots, with dinner at Biga as a highlight. Thanks for the recommendation 🍽️

Why this scores 55
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
San Antonio Premium Night Tour with Dinner and Tower of Americas: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for San Antonio.
How much does San Antonio Premium Night Tour with Dinner and Tower of Americas cost?
+
Prices start at $20 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in San Antonio usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does San Antonio Premium Night Tour with Dinner and Tower of Americas take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in San Antonio is not rushed.
Is San Antonio Premium Night Tour with Dinner and Tower of Americas worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.8/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in San Antonio, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule San Antonio Premium Night Tour with Dinner and Tower of Americas?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is San Antonio Premium Night Tour with Dinner and Tower of Americas suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book San Antonio Premium Night Tour with Dinner and Tower of Americas?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in San Antonio can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in San Antonio and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does San Antonio Premium Night Tour with Dinner and Tower of Americas start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central San Antonio within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in San Antonio?
+
San Antonio runs River Walk cruises and dinner tours, Alamo and mission trail history walks, ghost tours through the old quarter, and Hill Country wine and cave trips. Mission tours vary in whether they cover all five UNESCO sites. On Outty we rank every San Antonio experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Escape Game San Antonio: Epic 60-Minute Adventures at The Rim, Walking Tour Along the San Antonio Riverwalk And Around Downtown, Small-Group World Heritage San Antonio Missions Guided Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit San Antonio?
+
March to May and October to November. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in San Antonio?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
