Totally recommend!!
If there is one tour you do in Samarkand, make it this one. Amin, the guide, was incredible. He was so knowledgable but also incredibly funny and easy going. We laughed and learned so much the entire time. You'll get to see all the best spots and have a great time while doing so. Highly recommend!

Overpriced trip
For what this is it was overpriced. Picked up from the hotel and driven to the bakery. Guide himself had to ask the bakers our questions. We got the feeling that we were in the way. However, watching them work is amazing and you do get the chance to mould a bread. You even have to pay for a bread if you want to taste it.

Real bread from Samarkand
Usman took us to a bakery, where we were able to see every step of the bread-making process, from flour to freshly baked bread. We even got to participate in some of the steps ourselves. Many thanks to the bakery staff for welcoming us, showing us their work, and letting us taste the delicious plov. A special thank you goes to Usman, our private guide, for his kindness, hospitality, and the excellent explanations he provided throughout the visit.

Great tour of Samarkand and bread making request Muhammad
Muhammad Jon was an excellent tour guide. He explained the bread making when we did the tour. The rest of the tour was visiting all the sights of Samarkand. His knowledge was incredible. He explained all the history of Samarkand, and cultural and social norms. He gave us plenty of time to take photos, and wander at our own pace. We had an issues with loosing something prior to our tour and he went out of his way to take us to the tourist police to file a claim, and used his contact info for the police to contact him, since it was easier with and Uzbek phone number as well as the language. If I were to do any tour in Samarkand I would request Muhammad again
