What you get

    About this experience

From the Punta Cana hotels, we’ll enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the Oriental Mountain Range as we drive north of Punta Cana before arriving in the small fishing village of Miches at the southern shores of Samana Bay. There you will enjoy a quick breakfast prior to boarding the boat to Samana. We’ll cruise deep into the bay to whale watch. We will first reach Cayo Levantado, also known as Bacardi Island because of its close resemblance to the beaches Bacardi Rum once used for its famous commercials. Cayo Levantado is nothing short of a tropical oasis – a small island in the middle of the ocean with turquoise waters and white sands. After This a Safari in Samana Comunity to the waterfalls. In the Waterfalls, el Limon gets ready for horse riding or Hiking. This is a Unique Complete adventure.

    Not as described

The entire trip took 14 hours not as advertised . The whale watching was amazing . The waterfall is amazing, but they don't explain to you if you're not on horseback the walk is pretty intense. It was very muddy and we had to wear rubber boots instead of our comfortable shoes for walking.. It was a very long walk and then there are many steps down to the waterfall that are very uneven. I would not recommend this unless you're in good physical health.

    NOT a 7 hour excursion!! 14 HOURS-Epic Fail

This review is for the Punta Cana Dominican Republic location-We were told to be out front of our resort at 7 am. No one showed or called. Ended up the “system had a glitch” and we were supposed to be out there at 6 am. Thankfully we didn’t go because we found out it’s over a 3 1/: hr drive to get to the boat and another hour on boat to get to whale watching. Then return. So we wouldn’t have been back until 8-9 pm with only lunch being served. Bistro did give us our money back.

Response from the operator: Hello, Sorry to heard that you did not have good time. Plase note that 7 hours trip is starting from Sabana de la mar port. you need to read descriptions.

Wonderful excursion but time says approximately 7 hours. From pick up to drop off it was 14 hours.

Wonderful excursion but time says approximately 7 hours. From pick up to drop off it was 14 hours. We had so much fun but I am not sure why the timing was so far off. We spent over 13 hours away from the resort and did not expect that.

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. What should I bring or wear?

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Punta Cana?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Punta Cana?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
