Really Great Tour of Salzberg
This was a full day tour visiting the beautiful city of Salzburg, and our guide Katrina made this trip a memorable one. We walked the city and visited palaces and dwarf gardens, had a superb lunch in a restaurant high up in a castle with spectacular views, sampled delicious festival treats and chocolate (Sacher and Furst Mozart Balls), all while learning about the history of Salzburg both from its place during WW2 as well as its ties to "The Sound of Music" and Mozart. This was a wonderful tour and made us want to stay and explore more. Thanks Katrina.

Fairytale of a Day in Salzburg
Very glad to have chosen this tour - Salzburg was the highlight of my trip! We met at the Munich central train station. I went solo on this semi-private tour and there was another couple that also was on the tour. Our guide was Katrina. It was a perfect amount of people for our day. The trip was well planned and we were early to get great seats on the train. The train ride was a couple hours. We arrived and walked about 10 minutes thru Salzburg to Mirabell gardens and palace. The gardens were spectacular! Katrina gave detailed info and history on the gardens and spots from The Sound of Music. We walked on through Salzburg and saw more highlights. The bridge across the River was picturesque. The shopping area was quaint and then on to the fortress at the top of the mountain by funicular. We had a lunch at an Austrian restaurant in the fortress that had gorgeous views of the Alps. The lunch was gourmet and delicious. I had the spinach dumplings and it was way more food than I could finish. We walked through the fortress with more history and information from Katrina. I took a moment to have a cappuccino overlooking the views of the city below while the cathedral bells rang. Back down the funicular and then onto a stroll through St. Peter’s cemetery and catacombs, an ancient burial sight. Also from the Sound of Music and was a must-see! It was beautiful with planted flowers, ferns, hydrangeas and more. I could not believe how gorgeous this was! We went back through the square and enjoyed the sights there and then through the home of Mozart, a museum. Finishing the day shopping through the cobblestone streets and markets. Finding the original Austrian Mozartkugal chocolates that are hand rolled, original Sacher-Torte cakes and coffee from Vienna to bring home. Then back to the train for our ride back to Munich. We enjoyed recapping our day on the ride back. A complete fairytale of a day!

What a fantastic day!
Victoria and an Amazing Day in Salzburg We booked the private Salzburg day tour from Munich, and Victoria was absolutely exceptional from beginning to end. Our day started with a train delay and Victoria made what could have become a nightmare a footnote — and that was entirely because of her. Once in Salzburg, Victoria give us a wonderful, relaxed day. She never made us feel rushed or as though we were simply checking attractions off a list. We explored Mirabell Gardens, the historic Old Town and Getreidegasse, saw Mozart’s birthplace and Salzburg Cathedral, enjoyed an excellent traditional Austrian lunch, and visited the magnificent Hohensalzburg Fortress. She also knew that The Sound of Music was particularly important to us and made sure to point out locations and connections along the way, including Nonnberg Abbey, Schloss Leopoldskron and the Felsenreitschule. What impressed us most was Victoria herself. She was knowledgeable, personable, funny, patient and remarkably adaptable. It felt less like spending the day with someone following a tour script and more like exploring Salzburg with an extremely knowledgeable friend who genuinely wanted us to have a great day. A private tour is an investment, and the quality of the guide can make or break the experience. Victoria made ours. Her handling of the unexpected transportation problems alone demonstrated professionalism, but the warmth, knowledge and personal attention she brought to the rest of the day made it truly memorable. If Victoria’s management reads these reviews: you have an outstanding guide representing your company. We would recommend Victoria without hesitation and would happily book another tour with her. 🇦🇹❤️
